Mesa seeks a Substation Physical Engineering Associate II with 2-4 years of design related experience.
Ideal candidate has 2-4 years of experience designing physical equipment/systems associated with high/medium/low voltage electrical substations. Candidates with related power or process plant physical design experience will also be considered for this position. Candidates must possess knowledge and skillsets associated with designing drawings that depict electrical switchgear, transformers, electrical bus work (rigid/flexible), conduit/raceway, grounding, lightning/static protection, etc. Candidates must be able to understand and generate physical design drawings such as One Lines, Electrical Arrangements, Conduit/Grounding layouts/detail, Equipment Plans/Elevations and Bills of Material using AutoCAD and/or Microstation design software packages. Ideal candidates will possess excellent communication skills, a learning mindset, be self-starters, and have an eye for detail. Depending on candidate qualifications, this position may be fully remote (in the Southeast US) or hybrid in our Knoxville, TN office.
Work will require occasional overnight trips to sites located in Arkansas, Southeast Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi.
