Position
Lead Java Spark, Bigdata Engineer
Location
NYC NY ( Remote , prefer EST / CST Zone)
  • Design and implement efficient data handling system based of Java and Spark tech stack.
  • Perform and oversee tasks such as writing scripts, calling APIs, and writing SQL queries.
  • Implement data stores that support the scalable processing and storage of our high-frequency data.
  • Configure and provide availability for data-access tools used by all data scientists.

Skill Sets
  • Sr. big data engineer with advance Java experience to join our modernization initiative team.
  • 8 to 10 years of Spring boot, Advance Java, python, Spark, and Scala experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, data science, or a related field
  • Hands-on experience with data cleaning, visualization, and reporting
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience with real-time data stream platforms such as Kafka and Spark Streaming
  • Experience working in an agile environment.
  • Familiarity with the Hadoop ecosystem
  • Experience with platforms such as MapReduce, Spark, Hive
  • Experience with AWS is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
