Job Description:
This role partners with a senior architecture team to design and implement agentic AI workflows that modernize the client's engineering infrastructure and drive measurable productivity gains across product development.
Job Summary
Partner with the lead architect and delivery lead to design agentic workflows that automate routine engineering tasks while keeping engineers in the loop
Break down the new product development process into discrete, agent-executable capabilities
Bridge the client's existing enterprise tech stack, including PLM, ERP, cloud data platforms, and homegrown tools, with a modernized AI architecture
Establish architectural standards and evaluate AI tools as the organization transitions from legacy to agentic-ready infrastructure
Collaborate cross-functionally with data analysts, application developers, and engineering teams
Contribute to active proof-of-concept work currently underway
Shift from strategy-heavy engagement in year one to leading implementation of complex engineering use cases in year two
Minimum Requirements:
10 years of enterprise technology experience, with 5 years of hands-on AI/ML work
Proven experience designing or building agentic workflows and agentic frameworks
Strong working knowledge of current AI technologies and LLM-based architectures
Proficiency in Python and Java
AWS cloud experience (Azure concepts considered transferable)
Enterprise architecture background with a developer-to-architect career progression
Experience working in or alongside manufacturing or engineering environments
Demonstrated presence in high-level architecture decision-making, not solely downstream execution
Preferred Qualifications:
Agentic platform experience, such as Mulesoft or similar integration platforms
PLM or Windchill integration experience
Familiarity with engineering simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS or similar)
Background working with homegrown or custom-built engineering tooling
Exposure to any of the following: Mulesoft, PTC Windchill, PTC Creo, ANSYS, AWS Databricks, Synera, Colab, or SAP
