Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a QA Engineer [gn] (Automation & Resilience) based in Netherlands.

This is an exciting opportunity for a technically driven QA professional to take ownership of automation and resilience testing within a complex, data-intensive software environment.
You will play a key role in ensuring platform reliability, scalability, and deployment confidence by building intelligent, robust testing solutions.
The role goes beyond traditional quality assurance, focusing on engineering practices that prevent issues before they impact customers.
You will collaborate closely with developers and product teams to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
By designing advanced automation frameworks and resilience strategies, you will directly influence product stability and customer experience.
This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving complex challenges, improving systems, and pushing the boundaries of software quality.

Accountabilities:

The QA Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving automated testing strategies that protect platform reliability and accelerate software delivery.

  • Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive End-to-End (E2E) automated test suites that simulate real-world enterprise workflows.
  • Build resilience and stability testing solutions to evaluate system behavior under stress, failures, and high-load conditions.
  • Integrate automated testing frameworks into CI/CD pipelines to provide fast and reliable feedback on code changes.
  • Develop API and integration tests to validate data integrity and ensure accuracy across distributed systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to investigate production issues, reproduce defects, and implement automated regression coverage.
  • Identify, analyze, and eliminate flaky tests to maintain trust and reliability in automation results.
  • Partner with developers and product stakeholders early in the development process to define effective testing strategies.
  • Leverage AI-powered tools and modern development assistants to improve test creation, debugging, and test data generation.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and reusable test code while participating in peer reviews and improving test architecture.
  • Track QA metrics, including execution times, coverage, and pass rates, to continuously optimize testing processes.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a hands-on automation specialist with strong engineering skills, a quality-first mindset, and experience testing complex software platforms.

  • Proven experience as an Automation QA Engineer, Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), or similar role within cloud-native SaaS or distributed software environments.
  • Strong experience with modern automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
  • Proficiency in programming languages including Java, Python, or Go.
  • Solid knowledge of API testing, SQL, and data validation techniques.
  • Strong understanding of software quality principles and a passion for identifying hidden issues before they reach production.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, as well as version control systems like GitHub.
  • Ability to design scalable automation solutions and contribute to testing architecture decisions.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to challenge assumptions, anticipate risks, and advocate for quality throughout development cycles.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly.
Benefits:
  • Opportunity to contribute to innovative technology solutions within a fast-growing software environment.
  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
  • Flexible working arrangements, including remote or hybrid options.
  • Collaboration with an international and highly skilled engineering team.
  • Opportunities for professional development, learning, and career progression.
  • Dynamic workplace culture focused on innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to make a direct impact on software reliability and customer success.
