Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant – Operations

Overview

We are seeking a Business Central Functional Consultant specializing in Operations to implement and optimize Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central for food and beverage manufacturers. The consultant will work directly with clients to analyze operational processes, configure the ERP system, and train users to maximize efficiency across manufacturing, inventory, and production workflows.

This is a client-facing consulting role requiring strong operational knowledge, ERP implementation experience, and the ability to translate business requirements into effective system configurations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead requirements gathering and process analysis with client operations teams
  • Configure Business Central operational modules, including:
    • Inventory Management
    • Warehouse Management
    • Production and Manufacturing
    • Lot and batch traceability
  • Map current client workflows to Business Central best practices
  • Configure and test:
    • Item master data
    • Bills of materials (BOM)
    • Routing and production orders
    • Warehouse locations and bin structures
  • Support data migration, testing, and go-live activities
  • Deliver end-user training and documentation
  • Assist clients in optimizing operational workflows within Business Central
  • Collaborate with developers on extensions or integrations when required
  • Support post-implementation optimization and troubleshooting

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Dynamics NAV
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing and inventory processes
  • Experience configuring:
    • production orders
    • warehouse processes
    • item tracking and lot control
  • Experience working directly with operations or plant teams
  • Ability to translate operational workflows into ERP configurations
  • Strong client communication and training skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Food & Beverage manufacturing
