What Your Job Will Be Like
We are seeking an experienced Lead and IT Solutions Architect to serve as the Program Lead for IBM Maximo, an Enterprise Asset Management system.
On any given day, you may:
  • Provide oversight of multiple instances of Maximo and projects ranging from a few weeks to multiple years.
  • Develop strategies and roadmaps for implementation of new capabilities such as Asset Health and AI.
  • Develop a principled and standardized approach for using Maximo as an Enterprise Asset Management System across the Labs.
  • Partner with primary liaisons/product owners, management, the software vendor, procurement, and financial teams to develop proposals and execute projects such as onboarding new groups and implementing new capabilities.
  • Lead a team of developers, support staff, and consultants to provide holistic solutions while staying within the design intent of Maximo and following IT quality processes.
  • Provide user support.
  • Provide hands-on configuration.
  • Mentor others in Maximo and industry best practices.
  • Exercise decision-making authority related to cost, schedule, and performance.
  • Develop and deliver presentations to multiple levels of management.

Salary Range
$117,500 - $235,700
*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
Qualifications We Require
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or relevant discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of current experience in leading IT project teams to implement/support large commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software projects.
  • 3+ years of supporting Maximo or a similar Asset Management solution as an IT professional.
  • 3+ years of experience in providing IT support to large scale facilities organizations in asset management and maintenance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a required DOE Q-level security clearance.

Qualifications We Desire
  • Experience supporting Maximo as an IT professional.
  • Experience in planning, designing, developing, and supporting IT solutions for facilities asset management.
  • Ability to research, assemble, and evaluate information or data regarding industry practices or applicable regulatory changes and recommend sound, practical solutions to complex issues.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of industry enterprise asset management and facilities maintenance management best practices.
  • Experience as a user of Maximo and/or a process consultant in the use of Maximo.
  • Familiarity with Maximo Application Suite.
  • Familiarity with Maximo AI capabilities.
  • Experience in implementing large COTS solutions in the cloud.
  • Familiarity with Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (Scada) systems.
  • Ability to understand and work with new and emerging technologies.
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
  • A consistent record of strong performance.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.

About Our Team
The Facilities & Asset Management Systems department is responsible for development, implementation, and support of business applications needed to fulfill mission and internal business needs for Facilities Management, Asset Management, CAD/GIS systems, geospatial data analysis, and work management.
