Texas has over 425,000 miles of buried pipelines and cables. Electric power lines, cables, conduit and lighting cables; pipelines carrying natural gas, oil, steam, petroleum or gaseous products; telecommunications, alarm or signal lines, cables or conduit; potable water; reclaimed water, irrigation, slurry lines, sewer and drain lines. Texas811 runs a contact center that connects the excavators performing work in Texas with the facility operators to protect that buried infrastructure from damage.

Job Description

Texas811 is looking for a full stack C# .NET developer to add to our development team.  The most desirable candidates will also have strong JavaScript UI and SQL Server skills.    

Qualifications

Maintenance of code

.NET, C#

HTML / JavaScript

JavaScript AJAX/UI toolkits

Apache

SQLServer

PostgreSql (plus)

GIS knowledge and experience (big plus)


Willingness to learn new environments and languages

Excellent organizational skills and analytical skills are essential

Must be flexible and willing to adapt to changes and have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, remote development teams and other departments

Ability to wisely balance business, design, and technical constraints

Must have excellent English communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
