Job description

IPinfo New Business Sales Job Specification
About IPinfo
IPinfo was founded on a simple belief: IP data should be accurate, accessible, and reliable. Today, organizations around the world - from fast-growing startups to global enterprises - rely on our data to reduce risk, stop fraud, and better understand the network traffic that powers both their own operations and their customers' businesses.
Rather than depending solely on static or third-party sources, we validate and generate our data through weekly, factual internet measurements. This approach delivers industry-leading accurate and reliable IP intelligence, strengthened by billions of weekly lookups and a team of remote data engineers and researchers.
The data supports some of the most respected companies in technology and security, including Anthropic, Cisco, Cloudflare, Datadog, Docker, Google, Mastercard, Microsoft, OpenAI, Snowflake, Censys, and Barracuda - organizations that depend on our scale and precision for mission-critical security, compliance, and operational workflows.
Whether helping a cybersecurity platform block threats, enabling a fintech provider to meet compliance requirements, or assisting an enterprise fraud team in preventing abuse, we provide the clarity needed to make confident, informed decisions.
Key Requirements
We are looking for a U.S.-based New Business Sales Representative with the following capabilities:
  1. Consultative Discovery & Business Understanding
    1. Working closely with prospects to understand their business, operating environment and priorities
    2. Identifying the challenges they want to overcome - and why those challenges matter
    3. Translating complex customer needs into compelling value aligned with IPinfo's data products.
  2. Identifying Additional Challenges & Expanding Value
    1. Proactively uncover additional or adjacent problems IPinfo can solve - ideally ones where IPinfo is uniquely positioned to provide value.
  3. Ability to Drive Urgency & Deals to a Close
    1. Create and maintain momentum throughout the sales cycle
    2. Be prepared to discuss their approach to creating urgency during the interview, including real examples of how they've successfully done this in past roles.
    3. Experience using the MEDPICC sales methodology to qualify, progress and close opportunities.
  4. Proven New Business Hunter
    1. Independently identifying and targeting new accounts
    2. Owning full-cycle new business deals from first conversation to close
    3. Consistently achieving at least 30% of quota through self-generated pipeline, with the drive to exceed expectations.
  5. Thrives in a Fully Remote Company
    1. Work autonomously with high accountability
    2. Manage priorities and pipeline independently
    3. Travel within the U.S and internationally for customer meetings, conferences, and team gatherings.
  6. Contributes to Sales Best Practices
    1. Share practical experience selling IPinfo data and actively contribute to elevating sales best practices
    2. Provide actionable insights from the field to help refine and strengthen our GTM strategy
    3. Strengthen overall sales excellence across the team.
What We Offer
  1. Competitive compensation with uncapped commission potential that rewards high performance and ambition
  2. A leadership team that actively supports your success and a culture built on transparency, momentum and continuous improvement
  3. The opportunity to work with industry-leading IP data trusted by some of the world's most innovative and high-impact technology and security companies
  4. A welcoming, collaborative culture where surrounding teams - including engineering, product, data, and leadership - are highly supportive of the sales organisation and invested in its success
  5. Meaningful professional development opportunities, with room to grow your impact and responsibilities as the team scales, and shape the future of our commercial organisation
  6. An annual in-person company retreat to connect, collaborate, and build relationships with colleagues from around the world.
  7. Fully remote work environment; flexible hours; unlimited PTO; a $1,000 home office stipend; comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and dependents; optional Health and Dependent Care FSAs; and a 401(k) with company match up to 4%.
