Overview

Speed Bay Warehouse Solutions is a vertically integrated real estate investment and management platform focused on acquiring and operating shallow bay, multi-tenant light industrial assets in prime infill markets throughout the U.S. Sponsored by the founders of Black Creek Group-whose 30-year track record includes over $25 billion in real estate transactions-the firm is led by a seasoned executive team with extensive real estate industry experience and deep expertise investing in and managing multi-tenant light industrial properties. Speed Bay is building a national portfolio designed to deliver durable, long-term value through disciplined acquisitions, operational excellence, and technology-enabled performance.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an emerging commercial real estate operating platform focused on acquiring and managing multi-tenant light industrial shallow bay properties in key metropolitan areas across the US.

About the Role

The Vice President, Fundraising & Investor Relations will play a key role in Speed Bay's capital formation efforts, helping develop, position, and market the firm's investment products while supporting institutional fundraising initiatives.

Working closely with the Head of Fundraising & Investor Relations and executive leadership, this individual will bridge investor demand with product strategy and execution-partnering across acquisitions, finance, legal, tax, operations, and executive leadership to help develop, position, and launch investment products while supporting institutional fundraising efforts.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building products, engaging sophisticated investors, and helping shape a rapidly growing institutional real estate platform.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Execution

  • Partner with executive leadership to develop, structure, and launch investment products, including closed-end funds, evergreen vehicles, co-investments, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Help shape fund structures, positioning, and go-to-market strategy based on investor feedback, competitive dynamics, and market trends.
  • Translate complex investment strategies, portfolio performance, and underwriting into compelling investor messaging and fundraising materials.
  • Lead cross-functional execution of product launches, coordinating efforts across acquisitions, finance, legal, tax, operations, and external advisors.
  • Support the ongoing evolution of Speed Bay's investment platform by identifying opportunities to enhance existing products and improve the investor experience.

Capital Formation

  • Support capital raising efforts across institutional investors, wealth channels, consultants, family offices, and strategic distribution partners.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with prospective investors throughout the fundraising process.
  • Execute fundraising initiatives from kickoff through close, coordinating timelines, deliverables, and internal resources.
  • Represent Speed Bay at investor meetings, conferences, and industry events.

Investor Relations

  • Serve as one of the primary contacts for investor information needs, responding to Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs), ad hoc diligence requests, and ongoing investor inquiries.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing investors through proactive communication and exceptional client service.
  • Coordinate quarterly investor reporting, capital call and distribution communications, annual meetings, and other investor communications.
  • Coordinate agendas, logistics, and materials for onsite and virtual due diligence meetings.
  • Review and interpret portfolio performance and market data for communication to investors and consultants.

Marketing & Communications

  • Develop and continuously enhance investor-facing materials, including pitch books, Private Placement Memorandums, fund summaries, DDQ libraries, quarterly reports, presentations, and other fundraising collateral.
  • Partner with Speed Bay's marketing team to develop compelling product positioning, messaging, and content that effectively communicates the firm's investment strategies and competitive advantages.
  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and quality across all investor communications and fundraising materials.
  • Contribute to the continued development of the Speed Bay brand across institutional and wealth distribution channels.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner closely with acquisitions, finance, legal, tax, operations, and executive leadership to support fundraising and product strategy initiatives.
  • Work with legal counsel to prepare and manage investor-facing documentation, including Private Placement Memorandums, co-investment materials, fundraising notices, and other diligence materials.
  • Manage multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously while coordinating internal resources and external stakeholders to ensure timely execution.
  • Foster a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach across teams while maintaining exceptional service standards for investors and business partners.
  • Travel as required to support investor meetings, conferences, due diligence sessions, and fundraising initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or a related field.
  • 6-8+ years of experience in investor relations, capital formation, investment management, or financial services. Real estate experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting the development, launch, and positioning of private investment products or investment vehicles.
  • Strong understanding of institutional fundraising, private fund structures, and alternative investment vehicles.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and communicate complex real estate investment strategies and performance data to sophisticated investors.
  • Experience preparing institutional fundraising materials, including DDQs, RFPs, PPMs, and investor presentations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill complex investment concepts into compelling investor messaging.
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and multitasking skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Adobe Creative Suite and CRM platforms is a plus.

Compensation

The annual full-time base salary range for this role is $175,000 - $200,000. Specific compensation is determined through interviews and a review of relevant education, experience, training, skills, geographic location and alignment with market data. Additionally, certain positions may be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus as determined by bonus program guidelines, position eligibility and Speed Bay Senior Management approval. Speed Bay offers PTO and paid holidays, the terms of which are set forth in the program policies. All full-time employees are also eligible to participate in various benefit plans, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance and 401K, in each case in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
