Primary Responsibilities:

  • Utilize knowledge of large scale operational and system concepts
  • Develop and maintain system performance reporting using MXG, SAS, and Splunk
  • Monitor daily system health for areas of improvement and exceptions
  • Deliver recommendations for enhancing performance
  • Perform problem resolution to system health conditions
  • Research coupling facility performance and/or LPAR weights and capping
  • Participation in a 24x7x365 oncall rotation to support performance & restoration of health
  • Has responsibility and capability to work multi-platforms with zOS and/or zLinux
  • Troubleshoot complex incidents and develop skills for future technologies
  • Develop POC of new products and define center of excellence for the organization
  • Designs and documents technical solutions required to support complex business system  including general documentation for use by Computer Operations
  • Usage of AI is required for daily support and assistance in efficient productivity

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 10 years of mainframe systems experience with proficiency in performance management for large, multi-processor, multi-LPAR, Parallel Sysplex environments.
  • 2 years of experience working with SAS programming
  • Familiarity with WLM (workload manager), MXG, & ThruPut Manager (batch priority software)
  • Familiarity with SMF/RMF record structures
  • Familiarity with statistical data
  • Familiar with Omegamon as a system performance monitor 
  • Basic knowledge of zOS, JCL, and ability to modify jobstreams for batch
  • Knowledge and proficiency in the use of TSO and ISPF
  • Knowledge of z/OS, z/VM, z/Linux, CICS, DB2, Strobe, & monitoring systems (e.g. Omegamon)

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $112,700 - $193,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
