Job description

Supply Chain Planning Analyst

THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Planning Analyst builds the data, dashboards, and KPI reporting that support Demand Planning, Production Planning, and inventory optimization at Harvey Performance Company. This is a newly created role for an analyst who can write SQL, build Power BI dashboards, and translate a planner's question into a query and a useful report. You'll work closely with our planning leadership and database team, with direct mentorship and support as you grow into the role. You'll also contribute to a new planning and inventory optimization system going in later this year. Rowley, MA preferred with one day per week onsite. Remote across New England considered for the right candidate.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

  • Build and maintain KPI reporting and dashboards for Demand Planning and Production Planning, covering service performance, inventory health, forecast accuracy, and planning execution.
  • Write SQL against ERP sources (Epicor P21, SAP, Kinetic) to produce repeatable, validated datasets that planners and buyers can trust.
  • Develop planning data models in Power BI that surface what matters and leave out what doesn't.
  • Help establish data validation routines and refresh cadences that create a single source of truth for planning data.
  • Support tuning of planning parameters (lead times, MOQs, safety stock) alongside Production Planning and Demand Planning.
  • Contribute to the upcoming inventory optimization and demand planning system rollout, including requirements gathering, field mapping, testing, and post-deployment KPI validation, with guidance from planning leadership.
  • Partner with IT and the database team on data access and reporting.
  • Build repeatable analytical workflows that reduce manual effort over time.

YOU'LL BRING:

  • 2+ years in analytics, BI, or supply chain/planning analysis, ideally in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Solid SQL skills, including joins and validation logic. You can write queries from scratch, not just modify existing ones.
  • Power BI experience building dashboards that operating teams actually use.
  • Familiarity with supply chain basics: PO flow, sales order flow, and planning master data (items, lead times, MOQs, safety stock), or a strong interest in learning them.
  • Exposure to an ERP system. Epicor or SAP a plus, but any major ERP works.
  • Ability to translate business questions into analytical solutions and work cross-functionally with IT and operations.
  • Clear written and verbal communication. You can explain a dashboard to a non-technical stakeholder and a data model to an IT partner.

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Exposure to a planning systems implementation (requirements, field mapping, UAT, post-deployment validation).
  • Familiarity with a modern demand planning or inventory optimization tool (Kinaxis, o9, Logility, Blue Yonder, OMP, RELEX, SAP IBP, or similar).
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Analytics, Engineering, Finance, MIS, or related field.

The pay range for this position is $75K to $85K annually. This range reflects what the company reasonably expects to pay at the time of posting. Where an individual’s pay falls within the range will depend on their skills, background, and performance.
