| WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Slate is looking for a skilled Experiential Operations Coordinator to join our growing events team. Reporting to the Experiential Marketing Manager, this position will be responsible for overseeing & managing event technology, lead generation support, and handling all staffing & hospitality. Additionally, this role will work closely with the current Experiential Marketing Specialist with vehicle asset coordination, vehicle movement/logistics, event assets, and any additional experiential team support as assigned. The ideal candidate will be hands-on and excellent at juggling multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Candidates should ideally be based in one of 2 locations:

Michigan within commuting distance of Troy, MI or Southern, CA within commuting distance to Gardena, CA; however, fully remote candidates can be considered as well.

This role will require travel at least 40% of the time and can sometime be up to 60% during busy times.

| WHAT YOU GET TO DO

Event Operations & Strategy

  • Evaluate, recommend, and support experiential events that align with Slate's business objectives and customer engagement goals.

  • Contribute to the development of event strategies and activation standards to ensure consistent, high-quality brand experiences.

  • Lead operational planning and execution throughout the event lifecycle, including logistics, timelines, documentation, budgets, contracts, sponsorships, and project management.

  • Occasionally serve as the on-site event lead, overseeing event setup, execution, teardown, and issue resolution.

Staffing & Vendor Management

  • Develop and manage Slate's event staffing strategy, including sourcing, selecting, onboarding, and training event staff.

  • Serve as the primary liaison for staffing agencies and contract personnel.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, agencies, and event partners while negotiating contracts and ensuring cost-effective event execution.

Lead Generation & Event Technology

  • Own the event lead generation strategy and supporting technology infrastructure.

  • Manage lead capture systems, software, and related event technology.

  • Partner with Digital, Growth, and Customer Service teams to continuously improve lead generation processes and event performance.

Vehicle & Asset Management

  • Partner with the Experiential Marketing Specialist to manage vehicle logistics, scheduling, maintenance, repairs, transportation, and event readiness.

  • Oversee event asset inventory, storage, quality control, and warehousing operations.

  • Develop scalable processes for inventory tracking and future asset planning.

  • Serve as a key point of contact for vehicle-related event support and logistics.

Travel & Logistics

  • Coordinate event travel logistics, accommodations, hotel room blocks, and group travel needs.

  • Partner with internal travel resources to ensure efficient planning, reporting, and billing processes.

Brand Experience & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Marketing, Product, Commercial, Creative, and Customer teams to maximize event effectiveness and customer impact.

  • Ensure all event activations and supporting materials are consistent with Slate's brand standards and messaging.

  • Support the development of event marketing materials by providing accurate content, assets, imagery, and event information.

  • Bring creative ideas and innovative thinking to enhance customer experiences and event engagement.

Safety & Compliance

  • Support the development and execution of event safety procedures and emergency action plans.

  • Serve as a point of contact for incident reporting and uphold safety standards at all events.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate event documentation and project records.

  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

| WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.

  • 2-4 years of experience in experiential marketing, event operations, event planning, or a related field with strong project management responsibilities.

  • Experience managing multiple projects, priorities, and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Experience using project management software.

  • Familiarity with event layout, event management, or similar software is a plus.

  • Comfortable using modern technology, mobile devices, and event technology platforms.

  • Experience with lead generation tools, CRM systems, or event lead capture technology is highly preferred.

  • Experience towing trucks and trailers or willingness to complete required training and certification (training provided by Slate).

Travel & Physical Requirements

  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time, with additional travel during peak event periods as needed.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift event materials and equipment, and work in various weather conditions.

Work Location

  • This is a hybrid role. Preference will be given to candidates located within commuting distance of Troy, MI, or Gardena, CA. The ideal candidate will be available to work from the office as needed to support event operations.

SALARY RANGE

The compensationfor this position is the range Slate reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; work location; and other relevant business and organizational factors.

Annual Base Pay Range: $60,000 to $83,000USD

The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in the equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.
