POSITION: Packaging Supervisor
LOCATION: Monroe, New Jersey
WORK TYPE: On-Site
JOB TYPE: Full-Time

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Packaging Supervisor is responsible for overseeing packaging operations to ensure products are filled, packaged, and prepared for distribution according to company quality, safety, and production standards. This role manages daily packaging activities, monitors equipment operations, leads production teams, drives productivity, ensures compliance, and supports continuous improvement initiatives.
The Packaging Supervisor will provide leadership in coordinating workflow, managing employee performance, maintaining operational efficiency, supporting inventory accuracy, and promoting a culture focused on safety, quality, productivity, and compliance.
SHIFT OPENINGS

  •  Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM 
  •  2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM 
  •  3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM 
RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Ensure employees follow safety procedures and properly utilize required PPE 
  •  Lead, coach, mentor, and develop packaging team members to achieve production goals 
  •  Monitor production activities to ensure efficiency, quality, and productivity standards are met 
  •  Document production output and employee performance accurately 
  •  Manage employee performance and address issues when necessary 
  •  Communicate equipment, machinery, and material concerns to maintenance teams to reduce downtime 
  •  Ensure compliance with cGMP, HACCP, food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements 
  •  Promote workplace safety, product quality, and continuous improvement initiatives 
  •  Review production schedules and adjust staffing resources based on operational needs 
  •  Coordinate workflow and staffing to maximize productivity 
  •  Support inventory teams with discrepancy investigations and reconciliation 
  •  Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation 
  •  Perform additional duties and projects as assigned 
QUALIFICATIONS

  •  High School Diploma or GED required 
  •  Previous experience as a Packaging Supervisor or similar leadership role in manufacturing, packaging, or production environment 
  •  Strong understanding of packaging operations, manufacturing processes, and production workflows 
  •  Ability to manage priorities, delegate tasks, and lead teams effectively 
  •  Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills 
  •  Experience managing workforce performance and production activities 
  •  Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications 
  •  Experience with production reporting and data entry systems 
  •  Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining safety and quality standards
