ABOUT THE ROLE

Sortly is hiring a Senior Product Manager – AI & Inventory Management to evolve our core Inventory Management product line. This platform helps thousands of businesses track assets and consumables across construction, field services, manufacturing, and medical industries.

As Senior PM, you\'ll shape the strategic vision and execution of AI-powered Inventory Management that transforms how businesses manage operational workflows. You’ll help evolve Sortly from basic inventory tracking into an intelligent inventory operations platform powered by AI. You’ll own the roadmap for high-impact capabilities including inventory forecasting & replenishment, smart inventory insights and workflows, automated reconciliation and reporting, and AI-driven workflow guidance — features that enable customers to operate more efficiently while maintaining Sortly’s signature mobile-first simplicity.

You’ll work closely with engineering, design, and data science teams to deliver intelligent product capabilities that drive retention, expansion, and operational efficiency for SMB customers. If you\'re passionate about building AI-enabled B2B SaaS products that solve real operational problems, this is an opportunity to make a major impact at a fast-growing, profitable company.

WHAT YOU\'LL DO

Own the AI-Powered Inventory Management Roadmap

  • Define and drive the 1–3 year vision for AI-powered inventory management
  • Prioritize features like forecasting, replenishment, smart insights, and workflow automation
  • Make tradeoffs on scope and investment to maximize customer and business impact

Build and Launch High-Impact AI Features

  • Lead end-to-end development of AI initiatives (e.g., predictive recommendations, workflow automation)
  • Write clear product requirements and partner with engineering, design, and data science
  • Balance speed, quality, and technical tradeoffs to ship impactful features

Understand Customers and Deliver Results

  • Develop deep expertise in workflows across industries (construction, field services, manufacturing, medical)
  • Use customer research and product data to identify automation opportunities
  • Own key outcomes like adoption, efficiency gains, and revenue impact

Collaborate to Bring Products to Market

  • Work cross-functionally to unblock development and drive execution
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success on GTM strategy
  • Communicate priorities, risks, and decisions clearly to stakeholders and leadership

WHAT YOU BRING

Core Requirements

  • 5+ years of Product Management experience, including 2+ years in B2B SaaS
  • 1+ year building AI/ML-powered products with real customer impact
  • Proven track record of shipping successful products end-to-end
  • Comfortable discussing AI/ML concepts, system design, and tradeoffs with engineering
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, design, GTM, and data science in fast-paced environments

What Makes You Successful in This Role

  • Customer-focused: You turn complex operational needs into simple, intuitive product experiences
  • Strategic: You balance long-term vision with practical, near-term decisions
  • Execution-oriented: You write clear requirements and consistently ship high-quality products on time
  • Data-driven: You use analytics, research, and model performance to guide decisions
  • Technically fluent: You understand the basics of AI/ML systems, data pipelines, and their constraints

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Take ownership of outcomes and move quickly from idea to execution
  • Communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels, including executives
  • Build alignment across teams and navigate competing priorities effectively
  • Thrive in ambiguity and work collaboratively to solve complex problems

Nice to Have

  • Experience in operations-focused B2B SaaS (e.g., inventory management, ERP)
  • Familiarity with SMB customers
  • Experience with mobile or international products

WHY JOIN SORTLY

  • Opportunity to work with a passionate and dedicated team
  • A culture that fosters innovation, growth, and collaboration
  • Competitive salary and benefits package
  • Chance to make a significant impact on the future of inventory management
  • Annual off-site retreats
  • Home office stipend
  • 401k match
  • Yearly learning and development reimbursement
