As Director, FP&A in our Operations function within the Spine division, you'll serve as a strategic financial partner to Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Distribution, and other functional leaders - connecting financial performance to key operating drivers and providing insights that improve business performance, optimize costs and inventory, and support data-driven decision making.
What You'll Do:
  • Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and key business drivers
  • Analyze trends and KPIs, including revenue, operating costs, inventory, working capital, cash flow, and other operational metrics
  • Lead monthly financial and operating performance reviews, identifying key drivers, risks, opportunities, and corrective actions
  • Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Distribution leaders to evaluate performance and identify improvement opportunities
  • Develop and maintain financial models, scenario analyses, dashboards, and business cases to support strategic and operational decisions
  • Support inventory optimization, cost management, and other operational improvement initiatives through financial analysis
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting, including dashboards, trend analysis, and executive insights
  • Manage recurring and ad-hoc lender reporting, including covenant calculations and reporting requirements
  • Continuously improve and automate FP&A reporting, systems, tools, and processes
  • Partner with IT and functional leaders to improve data, reporting, and analytics capabilities
  • Translate financial and operational results into clear recommendations for senior leadership
  • Mentor and support development across the Operations and Finance teams

What You Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • CPA, Master's degree, or CMA preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive FP&A experience, with primary focus on operating matters (inventory management, manufacturing, distribution, cost management, and IT-related functions)
  • 5+ years of leadership experience
  • Strong three-statement modeling and financial analysis experience
  • Experience in an operating company supporting operational functions such as inventory, manufacturing, distribution, and supply chain
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and developing operational KPIs and dashboards
  • Strong ability to identify business drivers, risks, and improvement opportunities and translate analysis into actionable recommendations
  • Experience improving and automating FP&A processes, systems, and reporting
  • Working knowledge of integrated financial systems such as JD Edwards and Power BI
  • OUS (Outside the United States) experience is a key differentiator
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to influence and drive change

Compensation:
Pay for this role is competitive and based on experience, qualifications, and performance. The typical pay range for this position is $195,000.00 - $208,000.00 annually, with potential for bonuses, incentives, and long-term incentives plus benefits. Final compensation is determined on a case-by-case basis and considers a variety of factors including experience level, leadership scope, and market conditions.
