Job description

Your role
As a Field Service Manager - Eastern Region, As your mission is to manage all aspects of Field Service support across North America. This includes the operation and maintenance of all Atlas Copco Vacuum equipment, product delivery, installation, and preventative maintenance support in line with customer agreements and expectations. You will report to the Regional Operations Manager.
You will:
• Execute Service strategies and objectives for North America.
• Manage Field Service safety initiatives, including continuous improvement plans and participation in customer safety programs.
• Manage service scope in accordance with contracts and oversee additional chargeable services.
• Staff North America operations with personnel to meet customer commitments and operational requirements.
• Manage contract profitability to meet or exceed Field Service revenue budgets.
• Identify and report customer value-added activities beyond contract terms.
• Monitor customer site performance and service delivery effectiveness.
• Assist in the negotiation and development of Service contracts.
• Prepare monthly reports on site metrics, service issues, personnel, delivery performance, forecasts, and competitive activity.
• Organize and manage work schedules to maximize efficiency.
• Manage inventory to minimize financial loss and ensure operational readiness.
To succeed, you will need

• 3-5 years of experience working as a Field Service Manager or Service Manager.
• A mechanical or electromechanical engineering background with formal qualifications at a minimum of a bachelor's degree level in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, or Physics.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in an engineering, service, or maintenance role involving direct interaction with external customers.
• Strong management experience in a high-focus, dynamic environment, including at least 5 years in a similar leadership role, with demonstrated potential to advance to the next level of management.
• A mindset of being a "revenue-generating" service professional.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Proven leadership skills and the ability to work effectively within an empowered team framework.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement operational plans and successfully achieve established goals.
• The ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining composure under pressure.
• Experience with rough and industrial vacuum systems preferred, as well as experience in relevant areas of the industrial manufacturing industry.
• Direct hands-on experience with VSD drives, PLCs, and controls. Experience with Atlas Copco vacuum controls and Elektronikon is required.
