Position Overview:

The Associate, Customer Account is a key member of the Account Management team, supporting Account Directors and Account Managers in achieving annual sales objectives through customer account support, distributor coordination, and systems administration.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Trade Auditing/Analysis (Deductions, Fines, Claims, Post-Audit Work) (40% of Role)

  • Support trade deduction analysis, reconciliation, workflow administration, and documentation in partnership with Account Management and Sales Finance.
  • Manage customer post-audit claims, including undisputed claim resolution, disputed claim tracking, and timely response management.
  • Research and resolve deduction discrepancies, lead follow-up on complex claims, and participate in customer/vendor meetings as needed.
  • Drive collection of unauthorized deductions and credits while supporting profitable business performance.
  • Support customer metric forecasting, off-invoice trade events, planning tool inputs, and alignment between customer and internal systems.
  • Reconcile customer forecasts with Nestle internal forecasts and support new item setup, trade management, and financial reconciliations.

 

Customer Distributor Support (10% of Role)

  • Coordinate with Nestle Retail Services on logistics, distribution activities, NRS workbooks, and sell sheets.
  • Prepare upcoming-period NRS materials and participate in monthly distributor touchpoints.
  • Resolve distributor-to-customer system connectivity issues and monitor out-of-stock reporting, sales impact, and follow-up communications.

 

Customer Account Team Support & Systems Administration (50% of Role)

  • Maintain customer forms, item data, product attributes, UPCs, dimensions, pricing information, and customer item management records.
  • Support item setup and maintenance in Osprey and customer systems, including new item implementation and customer initiatives.
  • Coordinate and support large-scale planning meetings, including JBP, ICP, industry events, and internal business planning sessions.
  • Manage automated customer reporting, retailer reset calendars, category update submissions, and related customer forms.
  • Investigate and resolve pricing discrepancies involving contracts, EDI submissions, promotional events, and customer/system updates.
  • Manage promotional contracts, validate dates, lead times, and funding amounts, and review promotional activities with Account Managers.
  • Coordinate sample ordering and maintain sample inventory records.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or 1-2 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in administrative, analytical, sales support, customer support, Field Sales Representative, or Customer Account Analyst roles preferred.
  • Strong organization, time management, attention to detail, and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with familiarity in SharePoint and collaboration tools.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively, and collaborate with cross-functional partners.

The approximate annual pay range for this position is $58,000 to $85,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
