Position Overview

Promise Care Mental and Wellness Center is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Remote Adult Mental Health Counselor to join our team. In this full-time role, you will provide personalized mental health counseling to stable, low-acuity adults using a diverse range of therapeutic methodologies aimed at fostering mental wellness and resilience. The compensation offered for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, depending on hours worked.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home, which promotes a flexible and adaptable work-life balance. We offer a part-time option of over 5 hours per week, alongside full-time opportunities requiring more than 30 hours per week. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver ethical and evidence-based mental health counseling through video chat, ensuring an engaging and supportive therapeutic experience for each client.
• Conduct thorough assessments and collaborate with clients to develop tailored treatment plans that consider their unique circumstances and goals.
• Empower clients to cultivate essential coping mechanisms, problem-solving strategies, and effective communication skills through therapeutic exercises and conversation.
• Monitor client progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans, ensuring continual alignment with their evolving needs.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge of current best practices in mental health therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a counselor at Promise Care, you will primarily focus on fragile but stable adults who are dealing with low-acuity mental health challenges. This demographic includes individuals facing issues such as anxiety, stress management, and relationship difficulties. The low-acuity status indicates they are not in crisis, allowing for a therapeutic relationship that emphasizes personal growth and proactive coping strategies.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.
• Possession of a valid state license as a Licensed Mental Health Professional, such as LMFT, LPC, LCSW, or PsyD.
• Ability to provide independent practice without supervision, alongside a clean disciplinary record.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable with providing therapy through digital mediums.
• Proficiency in using digital tools and a stable internet connection to facilitate remote counseling sessions.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with adult populations, particularly with therapy modalities conducive to low-acuity clients.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic models and assessment techniques.
• Previous experience in a remote counseling setting is a plus but not strictly required.

• A sign-on bonus will be offered to successful candidates as an incentive for joining our team.
