Senior Software Engineer
Location: Remote
Clearance: Active DoD Secret Clearance (or higher)

Who You Are:

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering (backend, API, or full-stack)
  • Proficient in Python, Java, or C#
  • Experienced with REST APIs (FastAPI, AWS Lambda) and OpenAPI specifications
  • Skilled in data pipeline orchestration (dbt, Apache Airflow, Apache Spark, Iceberg)
  • Knowledgeable in federal compliance frameworks (NIST 800-53, HIPAA, FISMA High)

Preferred / Bonus:

  • Prior work with DHA, VA, or federal healthcare IT programs
  • Experience with FHIR, OMOP, HL7, CDA, or other healthcare data standards
  • Familiarity with OCR, NLP, AI/ML workflows for healthcare data
  • Exposure to AWS GovCloud (IL5/IL6) or secure cloud environments
  • Experience in MOSA frameworks or DDIL environments

What You'll Do:

  • Develop secure APIs and cloud-native services for DHA systems
  • Build and maintain data pipelines to normalize structured and unstructured data
  • Integrate healthcare data into FHIR and OMOP standards for analytics and decision support
  • Collaborate with DevSecOps engineers to deploy applications in secure, high-compliance cloud environments
  • Ensure software is scalable, compliant, and maintainable while enabling rapid delivery
