Job description

Responsible for sales enablement of assigned channel within a designated territory managing channel activities to achieve sales targets. Managing sales leads, proposal coordination, customer contacts and sales opportunity closure in tandem with channel partners pulling in additional team member support when needed. Identification of learning requirements, creating sales targets, managing project opportunities and maintaining/developing customers relations are all key objectives.
This is a fully remote position with the ideal candidate located in Chicago, IL.
This position requires up to 60% travel and requires that the ideal candidate live within their assigned territory of: IL, IN, OH, MI, WI, MN, IA, ND, SD, NE and within a reasonable driving distance from an international or national airport for the duration of your employment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Through market research, customer contacts and other means, identify the sales opportunities for assigned region and establish meaningful connections while promoting the value of all GF products and services.
  • Responsible for channel development along with key project opportunities in the assigned territory outside of established market segments.
  • Responsible for the collaboration and management of current GF Vinyl agents within the assigned territory.
  • Responsible for identifying and communicating innovation ideas based from market observations and customer feedback. This includes both product and service.
  • Prepare monthly reports highlighting territory activities and market conditions.
  • Develop and implement business sales plans and strategy for active and potential pursuits.
  • Effectively manage CRM content.
  • Establish close Customer contacts to determine the Customer needs and position the Company to satisfy those needs.
  • Develop proposals by identifying themes and "selling points" and preparing various components such as executive summaries and assist with negotiations.
  • Represent the Company at industry trade shows and exhibitions and participate in thought leadership exercises when appropriate.
  • Deliver customer presentations and demonstrations of products.
  • Monitor the market (i.e., trade shows, social media, publications, competitive bidding, project activity and requirements and customer/contractor/distributor interaction) and report actions and trends to the team.
  • Work closely with associates on the sales team. Coordinates efforts with other regions, Segment Account Managers, Product Managers, or other Company departments to support territory objectives.
  • Complete work accurately and on time, manage travel and sales time in an efficient manner, manage cost center, expenses and meet or exceed personal goals and/or critical performance factors.
  • Act committedly regarding the protection of the environment and the health and safety of our employees, customers, and neighbors. Exhibit the five GF Core Values in daily business activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Desired Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Sales, Marketing, or related field.
  • Five years of industry sales experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Personal computer skills, familiar with Microsoft Office and CRM.
  • Pass Company post-employment physical as well as controlled substance testing and background and security checks, as required.
  • In-depth knowledge of Company products and services offered, preferred.

  • Ability to work with and preserve confidential information.

  • Ability to drive with a valid driver's license for valid Company reasons.
  • Presents professional communication skills: verbal, written, social.

Working Conditions:
  • Ability to discern an assortment of colors (wires, electronic components, etc.).
  • Ability to perform typical field activities including but limited to:

Salary Range: $100,000 - $122,000 per year + Bonus Potential
