Collins Aerospace is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead strategic procurement activities that drive operational excellence across our supply chain. In this role, you will lead sourcing and procurement strategies, manage supplier relationships and performance, negotiate commercial agreements, drive cost and risk reduction initiatives, and ensure procurement activities support quality, delivery, and business objectives. You will partner with cross-functional teams and suppliers to resolve complex supply chain challenges, improve operational performance, and ensure the availability of materials and services needed to support production and customer commitments.

As an individual contributor, you will serve as a key procurement leader and subject matter expert, providing strategic direction across sourcing, supplier management, procurement performance, and supply chain risk mitigation. This position requires advanced knowledge of procurement processes, supplier negotiations, ERP/MRP systems, contract management, and manufacturing operations.

This remote position is based at our Santa Isabel, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead and execute strategic procurement initiatives, including sourcing strategies, competitive bidding, RFP development, supplier selection, negotiations, and cost management.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that optimize cost, quality, delivery, supplier performance, and overall business value.
  • Manage strategic supplier relationships and performance, establishing accountability for quality, delivery, cost, capacity, and contractual requirements.
  • Lead complex supplier negotiations and commercial activities, including pricing, terms and conditions, agreements, and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Analyze supplier pricing, financial data, market conditions, demand trends, and procurement metrics to identify opportunities and support data-driven business decisions.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including supplier capacity constraints, shortages, delivery disruptions, and other issues that may impact production or customer commitments.
  • Partner with Planning, Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Program Management, and other stakeholders to resolve complex procurement and supply chain challenges.
  • Lead supplier corrective actions and root cause analysis to address recurring quality, delivery, and performance issues and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Establish and monitor procurement and supplier performance metrics, develop recovery plans, and communicate business risks, trends, and opportunities to leadership.
  • Support production readiness reviews, DMP management, audits, leadership reviews, and other strategic initiatives while traveling up to 10–15% as business needs require.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
  • Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Prior procurement or strategic sourcing experience in an aerospace, defense, or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong experience with SAP, Agile, or other ERP/MRP and procurement systems.
  • Experience with competitive bidding, supplier development, contract negotiations, and supplier performance management.
  • Knowledge of Lean principles, continuous improvement methodologies, and root cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of contract terms and conditions, FAR/DFAR regulations, and supplier compliance requirements.
