Sales Manager - Water Technologies, Americas

Remote / Home Office | 50-70% Travel

Our Water Technologies business is focused on helping customers address water-quality challenges through chemical-free treatment solutions that can support reduced chemical use, more efficient water management and customers' broader sustainability objectives.


As Sales Manager - Water Technologies, Americas, you will have the opportunity to do more than manage an established territory. You will help develop new markets, applications and customer partnerships, working alongside our technical teams to bring solutions to industrial water challenges across the region.


The Role

  • Drive profitable sales growth across the Americas by building and converting a strong pipeline of industrial water-treatment opportunities.
  • Develop new business across Mining & Minerals, Food & Beverage, High-Tech Manufacturing, Power Generation and Industrial Water Treatment.
  • Build relationships with end users, OEMs, engineering companies and channel partners, developing strategic accounts and long-term partnerships.
  • Understand customer water-treatment challenges and work with Kymera's technical teams to develop differentiated, value-based solutions.
  • Lead opportunities from qualification through technical evaluation, proposal, pricing, negotiation and contract award.
  • Identify market, customer, competitor and regulatory developments and translate these into actionable growth opportunities.

Requirements


 What We're Looking For

  • Proven commercial success in industrial water treatment, treatment media, water-treatment equipment or related water technologies, with a strong technical understanding of industrial water-treatment applications.
  • A relevant technical degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Science or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop new business, manage complex technical sales and operate independently across diverse markets.

Skills and Competencies

  • Business Development & Sales Execution: Strong capability in opportunity identification, pipeline management, and deal conversion within technical B2B environments.
  • Technical Acumen: Ability to understand and communicate industrial water treatment applications and customer operational challenges.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and credibility across diverse cultures.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to effectively coordinate with technical, commercial, and operational teams to deliver customer solutions.
  • Results Orientation: Highly motivated with the ability to manage priorities and consistently deliver against targets.
  • Communication & Negotiation: Effective presentation, influencing, and negotiation skills across technical and commercial stakeholders.
  • Commercial Discipline: Strong organizational skills with a disciplined approach to CRM, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Regional Awareness: Understanding of Americas markets and business practices; fluency in English required, additional languages advantageous.
  • Digital Proficiency: Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred), Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and collaboration tools.
