Duties
Help
  • You will manage the administration and functions associated with the officer commissioning programs Officer Candidate Course and Platoon Leaders Class.
  • You will support the administration of programs for the Officer Selection Team.
  • You will apply current policies and regulations, reviews, and screen applications for commissioning eligibility.
  • You will monitor and provide administrative action on applicants, officer candidates, and commissioned officers for Officer Programs.
  • You will initiate and coordinate candidate's security clearance.

  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing clerical support such as administering background screening, reviewing documents, and/or processing applicant packages for commissioning programs (e.g. Marine Corps Officer Programs - the Platoon Leaders Class (PLC), the Officer Candidates Class (OCC), or similar programs).

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
Salary will be based on duty location in accordance with locality pay area definitions and established pay tables.
