About the Position:
The Account Executive is responsible for generating new business in conjunction with servicing and maintaining existing accounts.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Key Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from securing a request from a health insurance broker, to closing the deal.
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of long-lasting health insurance broker partnerships.
  • Manage the annual renewal process.
  • Build and manage relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Identify and develop cross-selling opportunities.
  • Stay educated and understand products, market trends, and competitors within assigned territory.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual targets.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the quoting process for assigned market(s).
  • Participate in meetings as needed.
  • Stay updated on industry standards and regulations related to US healthcare and Sales.
  • Identify and report issues and opportunities for improvement related to processes and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to Sales processes, including reports, metrics, and improvement plans.
  • Supporting and sustaining a positive work environment that fosters team performance through own work and behavior.
  • Performing special tasks and assignments as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, any field; equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in insurance sales.
  • 3 years of work experience specializing in customer service, account management, or employee benefits is preferred.
  • Must have or be willing and able to obtain a Life & Health insurance license in their state of residence.
  • Excellent listening and communications skills to effectively identify client's needs, provide guidance, and close sales.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement and problem-solving.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks to completion.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook)
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively work and collaborate with individuals or group at all organizational levels; ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Work Location:
This is a remote position working anywhere in Washington or Oregon from 8am-5pm Pacific.
Travel Requirements:
Travel may be required for special events, and meetings, not to exceed 25%.
Compensation:
The expected salary range for this position is $68,000 to $80,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate's skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position's business line, scope and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include health/dental/vision/life/disability insurance, FSA, HAS and 401(k) accounts, paid-time-off benefits such as vacation, sick, personal, floating holidays and company holidays. In addition, eligible annual bonuses, equity and commissions may be available for some positions.
