Rough Terrain Crane Operator

STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES develops and integrates products, engineering support, repair and maintenance services to provide value-added solutions to owners, engineers and contractors. We provide specialty contracting services through our contracting companies, and state-of-the-art proprietary products and engineering support services through our technologies company. With over 2,500 employees working from locations nationwide and in select international markets, we serve the Commercial, Public, Transportation Industrial, and Power markets to tackle the toughest construction challenges. STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES is the in-house engineering business line of Structural Group.

We are seeking a skilled, safety-focused Rough Terrain Crane Operator to operate a 15-Ton Tadano TR-150XL-4 for major ongoing construction projects. The ideal candidate is a dependable operator who takes pride in precision work and maintains a strong safety record.

While the crane is expected to be steadily busy, we value a strong work ethic and team-first mindset: when the crane is idle, you should be proactive and ready to assist the team with other site duties to keep the project moving forward.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate a 15-Ton Tadano TR-150XL-4 Rough Terrain Crane in accordance with manufacturer specifications and site safety guidelines.
  • Inspections & Maintenance: Perform daily pre-operational checks, inspect rigging, monitor fluid levels, and report any mechanical issues promptly.
  • Rigging & Lift Execution: Work closely with riggers and signal personnel to ensure precise, secure load handling and positioning.
  • Team Assistance: Actively assist with general site tasks, tool maintenance, and ground support during operational downtime.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA standards, site-specific safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Valid NCCCO (or equivalent industry/state) Crane Operator Certification for Rough Terrain / Hydraulic Cranes.
  • Proven experience operating RT cranes (experience with Tadano equipment is a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of load charts, rigging procedures, hand signals, and safety regulations.
  • Willingness to pitch in with general job site tasks when crane operation is paused.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to work full project hours.
  • Ability to pass required background checks, drug screenings, and physical evaluations.
Compensation & Project Details

We offer competitive prevailing wage rates based on project location:

  • Kentucky Prevailing Wage (Primary Work Location):
    • Base Pay: $41.55 / hour
    • Fringes: $9.50 / hour
  • Ohio Prevailing Wage (When Applicable):
    • Base Pay: $44.14 / hour
    • Fringes: $16.41 / hour
  • Project Duration: Long-term assignment scheduled through December 2027.
