Job description

Crystal Hospitality Group is a fast-growing, entrepreneurial commercial general contractor specializing in hotel renovations and brand conversions nationwide. We work with leading national brands—Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, IHG, Choice, Wyndham, and others—on complex occupied-building projects. We're expanding rapidly with significant room for growth—both for the company and for talented team members who want to build their careers with us. Our culture is entrepreneurial, fast-moving, and focused on delivering exceptional results while minimizing disruption to active hotel operations.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We're seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent / Junior Project Manager to lead the day-to-day execution of hospitality renovation projects. This is a field-based leadership position for a construction professional who can effectively manage both on-site construction operations and project management responsibilities. This is an opportunity to own a project from the field, develop project management expertise, and grow alongside a fast-moving, entrepreneurial construction company.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial construction experience, with significant experience in field supervision and/or project management

• Proven experience as a Senior Superintendent, Superintendent, Assistant Project Manager, Project Manager, or similar construction leadership role

• Hospitality renovation experience strongly preferred

• Experience managing projects from preconstruction through completion and closeout

• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and site logistics

• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, specifications, civil drawings, and technical documents

• Strong understanding of construction safety, quality control, and field operations

• Experience working in occupied, active, or operational hospitality environments is highly desirable

• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction management software

• Experience with Primavera P6 or similar project scheduling software

• Strong understanding of construction contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation

• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound decisions in a fast-paced construction environment

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of project outcomes

• Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed (required)

• Clean background check (required)

JOB SUMMARY

This is a hybrid field-based leadership role for a construction professional who can effectively manage both the on-site construction operations and the project management responsibilities required to successfully deliver a project. The Senior Superintendent / Junior PM will serve as a key point of contact for subcontractors, vendors, consultants, clients, and internal project leadership. This individual will be responsible for maintaining a safe, organized, and productive job site while also supporting project scheduling, documentation, procurement, change orders, cost tracking, and overall project coordination.

The ideal candidate has strong commercial or hospitality construction experience, understands the realities of working in an active or occupied environment, and is comfortable taking ownership of the project from the field while maintaining strong communication and documentation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Field Operations & Supervision

• Coordinate inspections, testing, deliveries, access, staging, and other site logistics.

• Review plans, specifications, architectural drawings, civil drawings, and other construction documents to ensure work is being performed correctly.

• Identify field conflicts and coordinate solutions with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and project management.

• Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality control throughout the project.

• Coordinate construction activities in hospitality environments where guest operations, building occupants, or other active areas may be impacted.

Project Management

• Assist with and take ownership of key project management functions, including scheduling, procurement, documentation, cost tracking, and project coordination.

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar scheduling software.

• Track project milestones, critical-path activities, subcontractor commitments, and potential schedule impacts.

• Review subcontractor schedules and coordinate sequencing to minimize delays and conflicts.

• Manage and track RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, material approvals, and other project documentation.

• Assist with preparation, review, and tracking of change orders and potential change-order work.

• Coordinate procurement and delivery of materials and equipment to support the project schedule.

• Monitor project costs and assist with forecasting, budget tracking, and identifying potential cost issues.

• Maintain accurate daily reports, project records, meeting notes, progress documentation, and other required project documentation.

• Participate in progress meetings with clients, owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal leadership.

• Provide regular updates regarding project progress, schedule, manpower, costs, quality, and potential issues.

• Use construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or similar platforms for project documentation and collaboration.

Communication & Leadership

• Serve as a professional and knowledgeable representative of the company on site.

• Lead weekly coordination and progress meetings as required.

• Resolve field issues quickly and professionally while maintaining the project's schedule and quality objectives.
