Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to accurately evaluate clients' relational dynamics, emotional struggles, and therapeutic needs. This may involve understanding clients’ histories, current life situations, and their vision for the future.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to meet each client's unique requirements and set achievable therapeutic goals.
• Utilize family systems theory and other evidence-based modalities to address a variety of issues including relationship conflicts, communication barriers, and familial stressors.
• Deliver immediate crisis intervention and support when necessary, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients and their family members.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential electronic client records, progress notes, and treatment plans, adhering to legal requirements and ethical best practices.
• Educate clients on effective communication techniques, conflict resolution strategies, and coping mechanisms to foster better emotional health and stronger relationships.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, facilitating referrals to specialists (e.g., psychiatrists, social workers) as needed to ensure comprehensive care.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and training to stay updated with the latest trends in marriage and family therapy, particularly in the realm of telehealth.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will encompass working with a varied clientele, including couples navigating relationship challenges, families dealing with conflict or stressors, and individuals seeking to improve their emotional health. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds, and your understanding of cultural competency and sensitivity will enhance the therapeutic process.

Qualifications

• A current and valid licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Illinois.
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field, demonstrating a strong academic foundation in therapeutic principles.
• Proficiency in telehealth platforms and technology, ensuring seamless virtual interactions with clients.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, vital for effective engagement during remote sessions.
• A demonstrated commitment to upholding ethical and confidential therapeutic practices at all times.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, managing your own schedule and client appointments effectively.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of experience providing therapy, preferably in a telehealth setting, which may include experience with diverse client populations.

• Experience in providing crisis intervention, particularly in a remote capacity.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 75,000 to 90,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
