PURPOSE

We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our Platform Operations team in Barcelona. This role is focused on operating and optimizing critical production infrastructure within a measurable, performance-driven operations environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong ownership, urgency in incident response, and a continuous improvement mindset, with exposure to automation and emerging AI-driven operational capabilities. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Operate and manage global production infrastructure ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance of customer-facing services.
  • Take end-to-end ownership of incidents, ensuring rapid resolution and clear communication with stakeholders.
  • Work within a measurable operations framework, proactively improving SLA adherence, MTTR, and operational KPIs.
  • Troubleshoot complex cross-platform infrastructure issues across compute, storage, virtualization, containers, and cloud environments.  
  • Drive operational excellence by continuously improving monitoring, alerting, and observability practices.
  • Identify, develop, and implement automation opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve consistency (Infrastructure as Code, scripting, tooling).
  • Contribute to the adoption of AI-assisted operations (AIOps), predictive alerting, and intelligent automation where applicable.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, Engineering, and Security teams to ensure platforms meet non-functional requirements (availability, performance, scalability, and security).
  • Ensure compliance with governance and security standards including ISO 27001-related controls.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and runbooks to support operational readiness and knowledge sharing.
  • Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation, demonstrating accountability and urgency during escalations.

  • Proven experience working in measurable operations environments (SLAs, KPIs, incident management).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across Linux/Windows systems, virtualization, containers (Docker/Kubernetes).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
  • Scripting or programming experience (Python, Bash, or similar).
  • Exposure to AI/automation tooling in operations (monitoring intelligence, predictive analytics, or similar).
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing).
  • Experience working within ITIL or SRE-based operational models. 
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Relevant certifications (cloud, infrastructure, or automation) are a plus.
