This role is designed for remote work, allowing you to maintain a flexible schedule while delivering impactful therapy to clients. Our integrated outpatient care practice fosters a supportive online community, enriched by regular meetings and virtual case conferences. The typical work hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, with some evening hours required for client appointments on a rotating basis, tailoring service delivery to the needs of our clients.

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the mental health and substance use challenges of clients, including the identification of co-occurring disorders.
• Collaborate with clients to create tailored treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based interventions to effectively manage both mental health and substance use needs.
• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions focused on building coping strategies, relapse prevention, and emotional regulation techniques.
• Work in unison with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, nurses, and addiction specialists for an integrated approach to care.
• Implement regular substance use monitoring and utilize motivational interviewing to encourage clients in their recovery journey.
• Educate clients and their families about the connection between mental health and substance use disorders, emphasizing the importance of adhering to treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of treatment progress, interventions, and referrals in compliance with ethical and legal guidelines.
• Engage actively in case conferences, staff meetings, and ongoing training focused on enhancing skills relevant to co-occurring disorders.

In this role, you will primarily serve clients facing the dual challenges of mental health and substance use disorders. Our patient demographic ranges from adolescents to adults, all requiring compassionate and innovative treatment approaches that respect their unique life circumstances. • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Possession of current and valid licensure as LCSW-C, LCPC, LMFT, or LCMFT in the state of Maryland.
• A strong foundation in evidence-based therapies specifically designed for co-occurring disorders, such as Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
• Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective collaboration within an interdisciplinary team setting.

A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a clinical setting working with clients facing mental health issues and substance use disorders is highly desirable. Familiarity with teletherapy technologies and remote work best practices will also be advantageous.
