Mental Harbor Psychotherapy Services is seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. This role involves delivering professional therapeutic care to a diverse client population through telehealth services. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals on their journeys to mental well-being by conducting evaluations, developing personalized treatment plans, and guiding group and individual therapy sessions.

This position is conducted remotely, allowing mental health counselors the flexibility to work from home while providing care through secure telehealth platforms. • Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and document thorough case histories during initial consultations and throughout treatment together with any required follow-up.
• Evaluate clients' emotional, behavioral, and mental health status, designing tailored intervention and recovery plans that address individual needs.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, fostering a safe and open environment for clients to explore their feelings and challenges.
• Continuously monitor clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary, and ensuring all interventions are effective in promoting recovery.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, which may include psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses to provide comprehensive care and address complex client needs.
• Follow up with healthcare professionals for clients who require inpatient care, ensuring a seamless transition between care settings.
• Identify potential barriers or behaviors that might impede the recovery process and implement proactive strategies to mitigate these challenges.
• Provide support and guidance to family members and caregivers, helping them understand and manage their own mental health challenges related to their loved ones.

This position requires working with a diverse set of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing a wide range of mental health issues, from anxiety and depression to trauma and addiction. As a mental health counselor, you will be instrumental in providing culturally competent care and fostering an atmosphere of trust and confidentiality for all clients.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Colorado.
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Demonstrated therapeutic experience and competence in mental health counseling.
• Proficient in using electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR or similar platforms, for documentation and client management.

• Previous experience working with clients presenting with co-occurring disorders, addiction issues, and complex emotional challenges.
• Familiarity with best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
• An understanding of psychopharmacology and the effects of medications prescribed by medical professionals.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with exemplary interpersonal skills that facilitate rapport-building with clients.

The annual salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience, and includes a generous sign-on bonus.
