Job description

Performance Contracting Group is seeking a Risk Management Analyst I for its corporate Risk & Insurance Department based in Lenexa, KS. This position will support branch operations and the Risk & Insurance team with controlled insurance program administration, risk data management, reporting, renewal support, and department process improvement initiatives.

This position is responsible for the following duties:

  • Support branch operations throughout the OCIP/CCIP project lifecycle, including bid review, project evaluation, enrollment, compliance follow-up, reporting, audit activity, and closeout.
  • Assist branch and project teams with controlled insurance program requirements, including enrollment documentation, program contacts, key dates, payroll or exposure reporting requirements, and related follow-up items.
  • Coordinate OCIP/CCIP enrollment and compliance activities with branch teams, project teams, owners, brokers, program administrators, and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate OCIP/CCIP project records, enrollment documentation, program requirements, and closeout materials in Box or other approved online document storage systems.
  • Track open enrollment items, documentation gaps, reporting status, audit requests, and closeout requirements through resolution.
  • Support internal audits of risk and insurance data to evaluate accuracy, completeness, consistency, and usefulness for reporting and decision-making.
  • Assist with development and maintenance of reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators related to OCIP/CCIP activity, department workload, data quality, and other Risk & Insurance processes.
  • Support RMIS/Origami data entry, data cleanup, reporting workflows, system documentation, and cross-training needs.
  • Assist with annual insurance renewal and audit processes, including exposure data collection, documentation, validation, and follow-up.
  • Provide support for insurance program administration, certificate support, contract review support, and compliance activities as needed.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Legal, Safety, Human Resources, brokers, carriers, third-party administrators, and other partners on risk-related information requests and department initiatives.
  • Support the development of process documentation, branch-facing resources, training materials, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Business, Finance, Data Analytics, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience in insurance, risk management, construction operations, project administration, finance, analytics, brokerage, carrier, or a related business support role.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products, including Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to work with data, including sorting, filtering, reviewing for accuracy, identifying inconsistencies, and assisting with basic reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accurate documentation, follow-up, and data quality.
  • Ability to organize project information, track open items, manage deadlines, and coordinate across multiple stakeholders.
  • Displays excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate well with branch personnel, internal departments, and external partners.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment and support multiple priorities.
  • Critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience with controlled insurance programs, including OCIP/CCIP administration, construction project administration, payroll or exposure reporting, contract compliance, or insurance documentation is preferred.
  • Experience working in the construction industry is preferred.
  • Foundational understanding of commercial insurance concepts, including workers compensation, general liability, auto, property, and controlled insurance programs is preferred.
  • Experience with RMIS platforms, Origami, Power BI, dashboards, reporting tools, Box, SharePoint, or other online document storage systems is preferred.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data validation, are preferred.
  • AINS completed or in progress is preferred. Interest in additional risk management or insurance coursework is a plus.
