As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, you will undertake various responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Conducting individual and family therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based techniques tailored to the unique needs of each client.
• Assessing clients' mental health, diagnosing psychological disorders, and formulating comprehensive treatment plans.
• Facilitating therapy sessions with couples, addressing relational conflicts and working towards effective communication strategies.

• Alcohol and substance abuse issues.
• Psychological trauma and history of abuse.
• Grief and loss related to family dynamics or personal experiences.
• Interpersonal conflicts among family members, including sibling rivalry and parental disputes.
• Support through transitional life events such as separation, divorce, and remarriage.
• Educational and adjustment issues faced by youth in blended families.
• Stress management techniques for job-related and medical concerns affecting mental health.

To be considered for this rewarding role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Possession of an active and unrestricted LMFT license in the state of Connecticut.
• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Demonstrated competence in the theories and practices related to family therapy and interpersonal relationships.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience working as a licensed marriage and family therapist in clinical settings.
