Job Description
TechINT Solutions Group is seeking motivated individuals to work at Aberdeen Proving Grounds for the position of Unmanned Aerial System Pilot, who will operate commercial off the shelf (COTS) remotely piloted vehicles (RPVs), ground stations, and payloads. Pilots will be expected to gather intelligence for mission planning, build and fabricate COTS remote controlled vehicles, and configure flight controllers for waypoint missions.
Requirements
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • Experience instructing large groups of low and high ranking personnel in a military environment.
  • Experience with COTS multi-rotor and fixed-wing aircraft, to include hobbyist UAS experience
  • Must be able to obtain a Certified FAA UAS PART 107 Pilot License.
  • Experience with all RPV (land, air, and sea) and ability to design/fabricate with limited instructions or pre-built kits.
  • Ability to research emerging RPV technologies, describe their advantages, and the impact to DoD capabilities.
  • Proficient in utilizing standard MS Office computer applications and intelligence related automation to support analytical efforts and product development.
  • Ability to perform independently while in other locations and interacting with other organizations and military units.
  • Ability to communicate and function effectively in a team environment.

Junior
  • BA/BS with 0-3yrs experience - Basic requirement or;
  • Associates degree plus 4yrs experience to the base 0-3yrs requirement.
  • NOTE: Associate Degree plus 4yrs is the equivalent of a Bachelor's degree.
  • (No degree) plus 6yrs experience to the base 0-3yrs requirement.
  • NOTE: 6yrs experience is the equivalent of a Bachelor's degree
  • Must be able to obtain a FAA Part 107 UAS Pilot License.

Journeyman
  • BA/BS with 3-10yrs experience - Basic requirement or;
  • Associates degree plus 4yrs experience to the base 3-10yrs requirement.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Extensive experience with Group 2+/3 UAS, specifically the Penguin B and Penguin C platforms.
  • Manned pilot experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret sectional, VFR Terminal Area, And World Aeronautical Charts
  • Experience communicating and coordinating with Air Traffic Control
  • operation and control of aircraft between pilots and other air traffic facilities
  • Knowledge of a wide array of UAS components and UAS flight control software i.e Pix Hawk, Dragon Link, RC Transmitters, Mission Planner etc.
