The Senior Technical Product Specialist for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for partnering with the local sales team throughout the sales cycle providing expertise in Hematology and Urinalysis.
This position is part of the North American Commercial Operations Team located in the southwestern or mid-south United States and will be fully remote. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.
You will be a part of the Marketing Business Development sales team and report to the Technical Product Specialist Manager, responsible for utilizing your expertise in hematology and urinalysis to reinforce the advantages for our clinical or highly technical customers (i.e., medical directors, hematopathologists, and other clinicians), and for improving our positioning against non-Beckman Coulter products. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert for the Beckman Coulter and non-Beckman Coulter Hematology and Urinalysis product lines as well as our workflow-based product portfolio.
- Collaborate closely with Sales Executives on account and campaign strategies to advance sales opportunities and ensure line of site to any obstacles or systemic issues that would prevent us becoming technical vendor of choice.
- Provide support through peer level expertise with highly technical customers; engaging with an account when further product differentiation is required to advance the sale at a highly technical level, involving side-by-side evaluations or case study reviews as needed.
- Act as Business Unit liaison for new and future product introductions.
- Conduct customer workflow optimization analysis, technical customer presentations, VIP and demo van demonstrations as appropriate and run wet and dry demonstrations of Hematology and/or Urinalysis instrumentation at customer sites.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor's Degree and clinical laboratory certification (ASCP or equivalent.)
- 7+ years clinical laboratory/hematology experience.
- Proficient knowledge in Hematology and Urinalysis, including workflow, normal and abnormal patient results, and patient clinical picture.
- Proficient with Microsoft software: Powerpoint, Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook.
- Ability to travel up to 70% (may vary according to assigned area.)
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Certified Specialist in Hematology (SH) Certification (ASCP or equivalent) preferred and/or clinical laboratory management or supervisory experience.
- Proven ability to assemble, derive conclusions, and explain data driven conclusions.
- Experience in selling, persuasive presentations, and negotiating skills.

The salary range for this role is $105,000-$130,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
