Job description

Remote Travel Advisor - Sales & Reservations - Houston, TX
Leisure Life Travel | 100% Remote | 1099 Independent Contractor | Training & Mentorship Provided
Leisure Life Travel is seeking motivated, business-minded individuals in the Houston, Texas area who are interested in developing a professional travel business while helping clients plan memorable vacations.
This is a 1099 independent contractor, commission-based opportunity and is not an hourly or salaried W-2 position. This opportunity is best suited for individuals who are comfortable with customer service, sales, marketing, client follow-up, and building long-term business relationships.
No previous travel industry experience is required. Travel industry training, supplier education, mentorship, and ongoing support are provided.
About the Role
As a Remote Travel Advisor, you will assist clients with researching, planning, and booking cruises, resorts, vacation packages, hotels, tours, and other travel experiences.
You will communicate directly with clients to understand their travel preferences, budget, destination interests, and vacation needs. Advisors provide accurate information regarding destinations, pricing, availability, travel options, promotions, supplier policies, and reservation requirements.
You will also manage reservations, maintain organized client records, monitor important booking and payment deadlines, and provide professional communication before and after travel.
Sales, Customer Service & Client Development
This opportunity combines travel planning with customer service, sales, and business development.
Travel Advisors are expected to develop new client relationships, follow up with prospective travelers, communicate consistently with existing clients, generate referrals, encourage repeat bookings, and build a strong client base.
Successful advisors understand that clients must be developed through relationships, referrals, networking, marketing, social media, and consistent follow-up.
This is not a passive work-from-home opportunity. Advisors should be comfortable talking with people, developing relationships, recommending travel options, following up with leads, and working toward individual business and sales goals.
Marketing & Social Media
Advisors should be willing to market their travel services and develop professional visibility within their community and online.
Basic knowledge of platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok is helpful. Advisors will receive guidance on using social media and relationship-based marketing to promote cruises, resorts, vacation packages, destinations, and travel services.
Previous marketing experience is not required, but candidates must be willing to learn and consistently apply marketing strategies.
Training & Supplier Education
Training and continued professional development are important parts of this opportunity.
Advisors will learn how to access and use approved cruise line, resort, tour operator, vacation package, and travel supplier systems.
Participation in company and supplier training is expected. Advisors should be willing to continually develop their knowledge of destinations, reservation systems, supplier products, travel policies, sales, marketing, and client service.
Candidates must be coachable and willing to apply what they learn.
Time Commitment
Independent contractors should be prepared to dedicate approximately 15 hours per week to developing their travel business.
This time may include client communication, prospecting, sales follow-up, social media and marketing, travel research, reservation management, supplier education, and professional training.
The schedule is flexible, but consistency, communication, follow-up, and personal accountability are important.
Compensation
This is a commission-based 1099 Independent Contractor opportunity. There is no guaranteed hourly wage or salary.
Earnings are based on eligible completed travel bookings, individual sales activity, client development, consistency, and overall business performance.
Applicable supplier incentives, travel industry benefits, advisor discounts, and other opportunities may also be available based on supplier qualifications and requirements.
Who We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate is professional, dependable, organized, self-motivated, coachable, and comfortable communicating with clients.
Previous experience in customer service, sales, hospitality, hotels, restaurants, reservations, marketing, social media, business development, or travel is helpful but not required.
Candidates should have reliable internet access, basic computer skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
Most importantly, candidates must be willing to learn, follow up, market their services, develop clients, complete training, and actively participate in growing their travel business.
Is This Opportunity Right for You?
This opportunity is designed for someone interested in building a travel business, not simply finding another remote job.
If you are looking for guaranteed hourly wages or a traditional employee position, this opportunity will not be the right fit.
If you are motivated by flexibility, enjoy working with people, are comfortable developing new client relationships, and are prepared to consistently invest time in learning, marketing, sales, and client service, we would like to speak with you.
Houston-area candidates who meet these qualifications are encouraged to apply for our next Travel Advisor information session.
