Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and consultative construction professional to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management, with a particular emphasis on writing scopes of work and developing Requests for Proposals (RFPs). This role requires a strategic thinker who can act as a trusted advisor to our clients, guiding them through the complexities of construction projects and ensuring successful outcomes.
Scope of Work and RFP Development:
  • Draft comprehensive scopes of work for various construction projects, ensuring all aspects of the project are covered and aligned with client goals.
  • Develop detailed and accurate RFPs to solicit bids from qualified contractors and vendors, providing strategic guidance to clients on vendor selection and contract negotiation.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the scope and RFPs meet project requirements and standards, advising on best practices and innovative solutions.
  • Review and analyze bids, negotiate contracts, and manage contractor performance, acting as an advocate for client interests.

Construction Project Administration:
  • Oversee day-to-day construction operations, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Manage construction documentation, including submittals, RFIs (Requests for Information), change orders, and daily logs.
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction, providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Ensure proper documentation and communication of project changes, maintaining accurate records throughout the project lifecycle.

Account Management:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts, fostering long-term relationships based on trust and mutual respect.

  • Provide regular updates and reports to clients, maintaining transparency and open communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:
  • Remote / Hybrid position - Must live in and be local to Northern Virginia
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management, with a strong emphasis on writing scopes of work and developing RFPs.
  • Proven ability to manage construction projects from inception through completion.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a consultative approach.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals and clients.
  • Must have valid Driver's License

Pay and Benefits:
$100,000 to $115,000, depending on education and experience.
Performance Bonus/Commission paid Quarterly
