Job description

100% REMOTE OPPORTUNITY

Eligible Remote States:
District of Columbia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia

Key Responsibilities:

Following established coding conventions and guidelines, review, code, and abstract medical records for inpatient services.
Review medical records to identify physician-documented diagnoses and procedures.
Assign accurate ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes to documented diagnoses and procedures.
Group assigned codes to determine appropriate Diagnosis-Related Groups (DRGs), including CMS-DRGs and/or APR-DRGs.
Ensure coding and documentation are accurate and compliant with established standards and guidelines.

Requirements:

Formal working knowledge equivalent to an associate degree (two years of college) in a specialized field.
Knowledge of medical coding principles, conventions, and guidelines.
Ability to accurately review medical records and assign appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes.

Pay Range:

$22.22 to $39.12 per hour

Base pay is determined by a variety of factors, including the market range, the candidate's qualifications and experience, and internal pay equity.
