FocusPoint is recruiting an experienced Enterprise IT Security Architect for a large, multi‑site enterprise undergoing significant digital transformation. This role is ideal for a senior cybersecurity leader who excels at building security architecture strategies, guiding modernization efforts, and shaping secure‑by‑design principles across complex environments.

About the Role

You will serve as the organization’s cybersecurity architecture leader, defining strategy across hybrid cloud environments, core infrastructure, identity platforms, and enterprise applications. This position partners closely with Infrastructure, Cloud Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, IAM, Security Operations, and senior technology leadership to ensure security is embedded into every stage of technology planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the enterprise cybersecurity architecture strategy and multi‑year roadmap.

  • Define security reference architectures, design patterns, and technical standards.

  • Lead architecture reviews for major initiatives and enterprise technology investments.

  • Govern and optimize cloud‑native security platforms across multi‑cloud environments.

  • Champion Zero Trust principles across identity, network, cloud, and application layers.

  • Establish enterprise security baselines, governance processes, and technology standards.

  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend strategic investments.

  • Provide architectural oversight for servers, cloud platforms, virtualization, storage, data centers, remote access, and secure infrastructure management.

  • Partner with IAM teams on identity architecture including MFA, Conditional Access, SSO, PAM, and passwordless authentication.

  • Develop standards for secure application architecture, API security, encryption, key management, DLP, SSDLC, secrets management, and secure integrations.

  • Strengthen enterprise monitoring, logging standards, detection capabilities, and incident response readiness.

  • Ensure alignment with industry frameworks and regulatory requirements.

  • Present architecture strategies and recommendations to senior leadership.

Required Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, enterprise infrastructure, or IT.

  • 5+ years in cybersecurity architecture or enterprise architecture.

  • Proven experience designing security architectures for hybrid on‑prem and cloud environments.

  • Strong background with Microsoft technologies, Azure, Microsoft 365, and enterprise identity platforms.

  • Experience securing enterprise applications, infrastructure, and cloud services.

  • Experience supporting large, multi‑site enterprise environments.

  • Experience influencing technical strategy and leading enterprise technology initiatives.

  • Industry experience in energy, manufacturing, logistics, or critical infrastructure is a plus.
