Job description

This position is open to remote candidates who reside in one of the following states only: Nevada, Texas, Arizona, Utah, Florida, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, or California.

Position Purpose

The Enterprise Data Analytics (EDA) division at Renown Health oversees the analytics lifecycle to identify, analyze, and present relevant insights that drive administrative, clinical, and financial decisions and anticipate opportunities to achieve a competitive advantage.

The Senior Engineer of Platform Architecture plays a pivotal role in designing and optimizing the infrastructure and frameworks that support robust, scalable, and secure data platforms across the organization. This position is responsible for developing and implementing architectural solutions that integrate diverse data sources and support seamless data access and processing. The Senior Engineer of Platform Architecture collaborates closely with DataOps, Quality & Surveillance, and other engineering teams to enforce platform standards and drive innovation in data infrastructure. By advancing strategies for platform scalability, performance optimization, and security enhancement, the Senior Engineer of Platform Architecture contributes to the advancement of Renown Health’s data capabilities and supports the organization in solving complex architectural challenges in healthcare.

Nature and Scope

This role is designed as a hybrid.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Platform Design and Optimization: Lead the design and optimization of data platform architectures to support scalable, secure, and efficient data processing and accessibility across the organization.

• Integration of Data Sources: Develop strategies for integrating diverse data sources into a cohesive architecture, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability.

• Infrastructure Improvements: Identify and implement improvements in platform infrastructure, focusing on scalability, performance optimization, and security enhancements.

• Unified Architecture Standards: Contribute to the development and enforcement of architecture standards and best practices, fostering a unified approach to platform design.

• Emerging Technologies and Trends: Stay informed about advances in data platform technologies and trends and collaborate with peers to implement cutting-edge solutions.

• Technical Change Management: Facilitate processes to maintain and evolve platform systems, ensuring they are production-ready and aligned with organizational goals.

• Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with data engineering, IT, and business teams to align platform architecture with organizational needs and priorities.

• Team Management and Mentorship: Provide mentorship to team members, fostering development and collaboration within the platform architecture engineering roles.

Incumbent Must Possess:

• Extensive knowledge of architecture tools and frameworks, with experience in designing and optimizing scalable data platforms.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms and services related to data storage and processing, especially Microsoft Azure Cloud.

• Deep understanding of data integration techniques and best practices to ensure seamless data interoperability.

• Ability to work collaboratively with IT, data engineering, and business teams to implement architectural solutions.

• Domain knowledge in healthcare data engineering and business functions, particularly in administrative and clinical operations, is preferred.

• Ability to mentor and guide team members, foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the platform architecture team.

• Three plus (3+) years of healthcare domain experience preferred.
