Codeworks, an LRS company, is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer who enjoys building modern cloud platforms, automating infrastructure, and helping teams adopt scalable, secure, and reliable technology solutions. This contract opportunity is to shape cloud infrastructure standards, implement Infrastructure as Code best practices, and support enterprise modernization initiatives that drive long-term business value.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert for Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Terraform templates, modules, and governance standards to support repeatable and scalable cloud deployments.
  • Build and support CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar technologies.
  • Architect, implement, and maintain container platforms utilizing AWS EKS, ECS, Kubernetes, and related technologies.
  • Establish standards for container security, image scanning, registry management, and application deployment.
  • Partner with application teams to support workload modernization and migration to containerized environments.
  • Design, manage, and optimize hybrid cloud environments connecting on-premises infrastructure with AWS resources.
  • Administer AWS networking services, including VPCs, Transit Gateway, Route 53, and Direct Connect.
  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking, cloud, and automation issues.
  • Mentor team members on cloud-native technologies, Infrastructure as Code, automation, and engineering best practices.
  • Conduct code reviews, develop technical documentation, and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field, Associate's degree with relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as an Infrastructure Engineer, Cloud Engineer, Systems Engineer, or a related role.
  • Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
  • Experience supporting cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
  • Strong knowledge of networking, operating systems, and systems administration.
  • Experience with container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, AWS EKS, or AWS ECS.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or similar platforms.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automation solutions.
