This is a remote position with the expectation of travel to programs as needed to provide on-site training, mentoring, and system support!

An Average Day: 
(Includes, but not limited to)

  • Train and support clinical and business office staff on EMR systems, workflows, and best practices to ensure accuracy and confidence in daily use.
  • Provide hands-on assistance with system setup, user access, security permissions, and troubleshooting.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for clinical software, answering questions and resolving system issues in collaboration with Billing, HIS, Quality, and Informatics teams.
  • Monitor EMR functionality, proactively identifying issues, updates, or opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist with onboarding new users and deploying system updates or enhancements across multiple programs.
  • Support QAPI, CHAP, and compliance efforts by auditing documentation and ensuring system alignment with regulatory standards.
  • Analyze workflows and data to recommend process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and user experience.
  • Pull quality data and reports to support leadership, quality initiatives, and operational decision-making.
  • Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to test, implement, and optimize clinical systems.
  • Provide after-hours or remote support as needed to ensure continuity of operations.
  • Travel to programs as needed to provide on-site training, mentoring, and system support.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements: 

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a hospice environment.
  • Medical billing and computer systems experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong working knowledge of EMR/EHR systems, including medical records, data entry, and clinical documentation workflows.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Demonstrated ability to train, present, and educate staff at varying levels of technical experience.
