Kleinfelder is seeking a Sr. Proposal Coordinator to support our A/E business development efforts in the Central Division. We are looking for someone with the experience and ability to take an opportunity from start to finish and increase our probability of winning through capture plans, SWOT analysis, and client value propositions. The ideal candidate will have experience in coordinating proposals within the transportation, water, environmental, state/local government, power and oil/gas markets. Someone who has an eye for detail and can perform quality reviews on their own work to catch layout, grammar, spelling, typographical and punctuation errors. The perfect candidate thrives in a collaborative, engaging, and fast-paced environment. They are eager to take ownership of each project, strive to provide meaningful contribution to help the team win. They are fiercely diligent about meeting RFP/Q compliance requirements and have a passion for creating compelling and visually stimulating submittals that our clients want to read.

You will support our Business Development efforts in the Central US. This position can be in-office or remote.

Responsibilities and competencies:

  • Lead and Coordinate Comprehensive Marketing Activities: Manage, plan, and coordinate a variety of marketing activities. This includes preparing and writing marketing proposals, client interviews and presentations, and participating in strategic planning processes. You will also create other client-focused submittals, ensuring they align with Kleinfelder's brand standards and style guide.
  • Understand Strategic Goals: Develop a deep knowledge of the firm's strategic objectives, key personnel, major projects, and target audiences to enhance transportation proposal and pursuit efforts.
  • Innovate with Visuals: Use creativity to enhance communication through impactful graphics, including photos, charts, and infographics.
  • Research and Synthesize Information: Gather, research, and organize information from diverse sources to create compelling business development documents and presentations, synthesizing complex data into clear narratives.
  • Craft Engaging Content: Write and modify materials that effectively convey services, capabilities, and market messages, ensuring consistency with brand messaging.
  • Drive Marketing Pursuits: Collaborate with the proposal team and technical professionals throughout the proposal preparation process. Hold the team accountable for meeting schedules and milestones, ensuring successful contract acquisition.
  • Facilitate Collaboration: Coordinate with internal and external team members to ensure seamless communication and collaboration across projects.
  • Manage Marketing Resources: Serve as a go-to resource for marketing materials and information, maintaining organized marketing information systems.
  • Coordinate Nationwide Efforts: Collaborate marketing initiatives across Kleinfelder offices nationwide, fostering a unified approach.
  • Other Duties: Perform additional tasks assigned to support the marketing team.

 Qualifications:

  • With Degree: Bachelor's degree (desired) preferred in English, Marketing, Journalism, or Communications with 6+ years of experience working in the engineering, transportation, construction management, or architecture industry.
  • Without Degree: 10+ years of experience working in the engineering, transportation, construction management, or architecture industry.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.). 

Following an offer, candidates will be required to satisfactorily complete employment reference checks, verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials, a motor vehicle report (MVR), and a comprehensive background check.
