Job description

Clinical Application Specialist Chicago based (IL and MI territory)
Reporting to: Regional Sales Director
Location: Remote (Detroit based ideal)
Compensation: $90k base + commission, uncapped. OTE $130K
Travel: Up to 75% within territory
Responsibilities
  • Drive product adoption and expansion in hospital accounts through education, training, and clinical support.
  • Lead onboarding, clinical evaluations, and implementation activities, including classroom training, bedside support, and protocol development.
  • Partner with sales leadership and territory managers to understand account needs, competitive landscape, and growth opportunities.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders including nurse educators, physicians, infection control, and hospital leadership.
  • Deliver customized training programs and serve as the clinical resource for both customers and the sales team.
  • Coordinate and manage educational programs such as in-services, workshops, and trade show participation.
  • Travel up to 75% within territory/region, including some overnight and weekend commitments.

Requirements
  • BSN / RN; with clinical experience with IV placement/vascular access
  • 3+ years of hospital-based clinical experience coupled with medical device industry experience
  • Strong presentation, communication, and influencing skills; experience training and educating clinically
  • Proven ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.
  • Advanced knowledge of vascular access, IV therapy, or related clinical areas preferred.
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout region; includes multiple overnights weekly.
  • Must have own car and clean driving record
