Business Development Outreach Specialist (1099 Contractor)

Company: EdTech Company focused on K-12 Schools (non-curriculum)

Location: Remote (anywhere in the contiguous United States)

Employment Type: 1099 Independent Contractor – can convert to W2 FTE

Compensation: $25- $30 per hour, with some flexibility.

Hours: Some flexibility, part-time or full-time (to be discussed during interview)

Job Summary

As an EdTech Business Development Outreach Specialist, you will play a key role in expanding our education-focused client base by conducting cold outreach via phone and email. Your primary focus will be on contacting potential leads, initiating conversations, and scheduling qualified appointments for our Account Executive Team. This is a remote, independent contractor position ideal for someone with strong communication skills and a results-oriented mindset.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform cold calling and email outreach to prospective clients, using provided scripts and lead lists to introduce services.

· Qualify leads based on predefined criteria to ensure high-quality appointments.

· Schedule and coordinate meetings between prospects and the Account Executive Team, managing follow-ups as needed.

· Track outreach activities, responses, and outcomes in PipeDrive CRM system to measure performance and optimize strategies.

· Collaborate with the sales team to refine outreach approaches and share insights on lead generation trends.

· Meet or exceed weekly/monthly targets for calls, emails, and appointments set.

Qualifications

· Proven experience in business development, sales outreach, cold calling, or appointment setting (2+ years preferred).

· 1+ years EdTech experience.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage prospects confidently and professionally.

· Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Pipedrive or Salesforce) and email automation platforms.

· Self-motivated and disciplined, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

· Comfortable with high-volume outreach and handling objections or rejections.

· Reliable internet connection, phone setup, and quiet workspace for calls.

· Must be located in the contiguous United States.
