Thrive Space Counseling Services is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. • Conduct detailed and culturally sensitive mental health assessments to gather a comprehensive understanding of each patient's background and unique experiences.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to meet the specific needs of diverse patients.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, focusing on enhancing resilience and promoting mental wellness.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and multidisciplinary staff to develop coordinated and holistic patient care strategies.
• Deliver immediate crisis intervention support during mental health emergencies, helping stabilize the situation and provide necessary resources.
• Educate patients and families about various mental health conditions, available treatment options, and connect them with community resources to enhance support systems.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation as per legal and ethical guidelines, ensuring all case files are up-to-date and compliant with regulatory standards.
• Participate actively in case conferences and team meetings, contributing insights to deliver effective healthcare solutions and continually enhance cultural competence.
• Remain current with relevant research, best practices, and approaches that improve therapeutic methods in mental health care.

You will primarily work with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds, including ethnic minorities, LGBTQ+ communities, and immigrants, ensuring that your therapeutic approaches are inclusive, respectful, and tailored to individual experiences.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• A current and valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Oregon.
• A strong understanding of mental health disorders along with evidence-based treatment methodologies and cultural competency in therapy.
• Proven experience providing individual and group therapy using methodologies that are culturally responsive and inclusive.
• Demonstrated crisis intervention skills with a calm demeanor when managing challenging situations.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities that enable relationship building with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and common computer applications.
• A commitment to high professional standards, including maintaining ethical guidelines and patient confidentiality.
• A collaborative spirit that thrives in a multidisciplinary team dynamic.

• Experience working in a community health setting or multicultural outpatient psychiatry practice is preferred.
• Previous involvement in cultural competency or diversity training programs is advantageous.
• A background in using innovative therapeutic techniques tailored to diverse populations would be considered a plus.
