Overview
Altadis USA is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Distributor Sales Manager to help grow and expand distributor business nationally across the premium cigar category. This role is responsible for building strategic distributor partnerships, driving sales performance, and supporting long-term growth initiatives aligned with company objectives.
The ideal candidate will possess strong relationship management skills, deep commercial acumen, and a proven ability to manage distributor networks and deliver against annual revenue objectives. Premium cigar industry experience is strongly desired, along with a thorough understanding of distributor operations, sales execution, and market development strategies.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute national distributor sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Manage and strengthen relationships with key distributor partners across assigned territories and channels.
  • Collaborate with distributor sales teams to improve product placement, promotional execution, and brand visibility.
  • Own and manage an annual sales budget, ensuring accountability for revenue, spending, forecasting, and profitability targets.
  • Analyze sales trends, market conditions, and distributor performance metrics to identify growth opportunities.
  • Partner cross-functionally with marketing, trade marketing, supply chain, and leadership teams to support strategic initiatives.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with distributors and provide actionable recommendations to improve performance.
  • Identify new business opportunities and support onboarding of potential distributor partners where applicable.
  • Travel nationally as needed to support distributor relationships, trade events, and customer engagement initiatives.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of sales, distributor management, or account management experience.
  • Premium cigar industry experience strongly desired.
  • Thorough understanding of distributor business models, sales processes, and route-to-market strategies preferred.
  • Proven experience managing annual budgets, forecasting, and sales performance metrics.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable business strategies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel nationally as business needs require.
