Job description

The Web Traffic Analytics & Akamai Bot Management Specialist. is responsible for ensuring the integrity, quality, and accuracy of traffic across all digital properties. This role partners closely with Analytics, Marketing, Platform Engineering, Launch, and Product teams to identify invalid traffic, improve bot detection, validate analytics implementations, and ensure new website launches meet enterprise traffic quality standards.
This position focuses on maintaining trusted analytics, reducing invalid traffic, improving attribution accuracy, and ensuring websites are correctly configured before and after launch.

This is a full-time, salaried, remote position. Employee must be located within the Continental U.S., EASTERN or CENTRAL TIME ZONE preferred, but all are welcome to apply who are able to support 8:30AM-5:30PM EST business hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor traffic quality across hundreds of dealership websites.
  • Analyze traffic patterns to identify bots, crawlers, spam, and invalid sessions.
  • Partner with the Analytics team to ensure accurate GA4, server-side tagging, and event collection.
  • Work with the Launch team to validate analytics implementations before websites go live.
  • Verify CDN and Akamai Bot Management configurations are correctly deployed on new launches.
  • Develop dashboards that measure human traffic versus automated traffic.
  • Create and maintain allowlists for search engines, OEM integrations, uptime monitoring, and approved third-party services.
  • Investigate unusual changes in traffic, conversions, engagement, or attribution.
  • Configure and optimize Akamai Bot Management policies while minimizing false positives and maintaining a seamless user experience.
  • Validate cookie consent, tracking pixels, GTM/server-side GTM, and analytics configurations.
  • Ensure marketing campaigns and reporting are not impacted by invalid traffic.
  • Analyze HTTP requests, headers, cookies, referrers, user agents, IP reputation, and behavioral signals to classify traffic.
  • Partner with Data Engineering to ensure bot traffic is excluded from reporting and downstream data platforms.
  • Develop documentation, launch checklists, and standards for traffic quality validation.

COMPENSATION
