The Community Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. • Conduct thorough preliminary assessments and document ongoing case notes to monitor treatment progress from the initial consultation through discharge.
• Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health to inform personalized intervention and recovery strategies.
• Design and implement customized treatment plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, considering specific cultural and personal factors.
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that encourage open dialogue and self-exploration.
• Regularly track client progress, adjusting treatment approaches as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams including psychiatrists, primary care providers, and other mental health specialists to deliver comprehensive care.
• Coordinate referrals and follow-ups for clients needing additional services or specialized care.
• Support family members and caregivers in understanding and managing mental health challenges.
• Utilize electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, to maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

This role is designed to support a diverse range of clients, including children, adults, and families facing various mental health challenges. Our clientele often includes individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. Your approach to therapy will not only address individual needs but also consider the broader socio-cultural context of our clients in Memphis, enhancing their therapeutic journey.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC/MHSP, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Tennessee.
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).
• Proven experience as a mental health counselor, showcasing your ability to navigate complex cases effectively.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems, preferably AVATAR, to enhance workflow and maintain confidentiality.
• Depth of knowledge regarding mental health, addiction disorders, and the interplay of underlying physical and emotional health conditions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective documentation and client interaction.
• Demonstrated ability to exhibit empathy, excellent interpersonal skills, and a strong desire to support clients in their recovery journey.

• Experience with evidence-based therapeutic practices and familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) standards.
• Previous work in a community health setting or with diverse populations can help enhance your effectiveness in this role.
• An understanding of pharmacological interventions and their psychological implications is beneficial.

This position offers an attractive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, with a sign-on bonus available.
