What does a remote implementation manager do?

As a remote implementation manager, you work from home to direct the implementation of a new system or process in a company or organization. Job description

Do you want to empower organizations to build smarter compensation strategies while ensuring fair pay for all employees?

Syndio is the leading pay governance and compensation intelligence platform. We help organizations make better pay decisions at every stage of the compensation lifecycle, from leveling and offers to promotions and merit. Our platform gives HR, compensation, and finance leaders the data and decision support they need to govern pay fairly, compliantly, and with confidence. We partner with many of the world's most recognized and respected enterprises, helping them implement leading-edge compensation solutions with expert guidance and analyzing pay for over 10 million employees across the world.

Join us in our mission to help companies make smarter pay decisions they can trust!

About the role
Syndio is the leader in compensation equity and pay decision intelligence, helping the world's largest employers make fair, defensible, and transparent pay decisions at scale. As we bring Decisions to general availability and expand our footprint across the enterprise, the way we deliver and commercialize implementation work needs to grow up with us.

The Senior Manager, Implementation is a builder-operator role. In the near term, you will provide hands-on frontline leadership to our Implementation Manager team — Supporting complex customer questions, owning capacity, assignment logic, project-plan rigor, and delivery quality across a fast-growing portfolio of customers.

Why this job is exciting
  • People management. Provide day-to-day frontline management, coaching, and development for the IM team, fostering a high-accountability, customer-obsessed delivery culture.
  • Capacity management. Maintain real-time visibility into team capacity and utilization, and balance load across IMs as the portfolio grows.
  • Assignment logic. Own the logic and process for matching IMs to projects based on scope, complexity, account profile, and capacity — informed by Solutions Engineering scoping at handoff.
  • Project-plan rigor. Ensure consistent, high-quality project plans, milestone tracking, and status reporting across every engagement, with clear internal and customer alignment.
  • Delivery quality. Define and uphold standards for implementation execution, escalation handling, and on-time, on-scope delivery.
  • Delivery methodology. Establish the repeatable delivery methodology, templates, and playbooks (SOW templates, estimation models, change-order process, acceptance criteria) that make services scalable and predictable.
  • Internal stakeholders. Drive alignment across Sales, Customer Success, Product, and the broader Solutions Engineering org so that delivery commitments are realistic and well-supported.
  • Design partners and strategic accounts. Partner closely on Syndio's most strategic engagements, ensuring white-glove delivery where it matters most.
  • Process and tooling. Establish the operational systems (trackers, capacity models, reporting) that give leadership clear visibility into delivery health and services performance.
About you
  • 7+ years in professional services, implementation, or delivery leadership within a B2B SaaS or enterprise software company, including direct people management is required.
  • Demonstrated experience standing up or materially scaling a Professional Services function — ideally building a SOW-based, billable services motion from an early or greenfield state.
  • Strong command of services commercials: scoping, estimation, SOW construction, pricing, margin management, and revenue recognition basics.
  • Proven ability to run a frontline delivery team with rigor — capacity planning, resourcing/assignment, project governance, and delivery-quality standards.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity as a builder; you are equally happy managing the team today and designing the function for tomorrow.
  • Excellent cross-functional partnership skills across Sales, Finance, Product, and Customer Success.
  • Experience in HR tech, compensation, people analytics, or a similarly data-intensive enterprise domain is required

Why you'll love it here:
  • ???? Competitive Compensation. For this role our salary is targeted at $155,000 -$180,000 per year. Final offer amounts are determined by factors such as experience and expertise. We take a geo neutral approach to compensation within the US, meaning that we pay based on job function and level, not location.
  • ????  Syndio Equity. So you can share in Syndio's success.
  • ????  Flexible Vacation Policy. We encourage our team to recharge when they need to, plus paid sick & safe time, compassion leave, and voting leave.
  • Paid parental leave
  • ????  Medical, Dental, Vision. Syndio pays 90% of employee premiums, and 50% for dependents.
  • ????  Life Insurance & Disability. Syndio covers the full premium.
  • ???? 401(k). To help you save for your future
  • Fully remote model - #LI-Remote
