Are you a compassionate and dedicated licensed mental health professional? Join Ventures Diagnostic Services as a Mental Health Counselor, where you will play a critical role in transforming lives through compassionate care and therapy. About the Organization

Ventures Diagnostic Services is committed to enhancing community well-being by delivering high-quality mental health support. We understand that navigating the complexities of life can be overwhelming, which is why we provide a nurturing and collaborative environment for both our clients and mental health professionals. Our organization embraces a client-centered approach, ensuring that each individual receives tailored support that addresses their unique needs. With a focus on empirical evidence and ongoing professional development, we are dedicated to setting the standard for mental health care.

Work Environment

This role is designed to be fully remote, providing flexibility and convenience, especially for licensed professionals in the mental health field. Our outpatient office setting ensures that counselors can work in a structured yet adaptable environment, promoting work-life balance while engaging in meaningful therapeutic work. As a member of our team, you will collaborate with diverse professionals in a supportive virtual workplace, leveraging technology to enhance client interactions and treatment efficacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough initial assessments to understand the unique concerns and needs of each client, utilizing standardized tools and clinical judgment to inform treatment plans.
  • Facilitate weekly one-on-one therapy sessions, implementing evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness strategies tailored to individual client needs.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care plans that address physical, emotional, and social factors influencing client health.
  • Engage in regular training and professional development initiatives to remain knowledgeable about the latest research, therapeutic modalities, and best practices in the mental health field.
  • Actively contribute to program development and improvement initiatives, providing insights based on client feedback and observed treatment outcomes.
  • Provide crisis intervention and emotional support to clients during acute distress or emergencies, ensuring a safe and supportive therapeutic environment.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and compliant client records in accordance with HIPAA regulations and ethical standards.
  • Stay current with ongoing education and licensing requirements by participating in workshops, seminars, and continuing education opportunities.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The Mental Health Counselor will serve a diverse clientele in Redwood City and beyond, including individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and other emotional challenges. Our commitment to culturally competent care means that you will have the opportunity to support clients from varied backgrounds, employing sensitivity and inclusivity in all therapeutic interactions.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) within the state of California.
Preferred Experience
  • Two or more years of clinical experience providing individual, couples, and family therapy preferred, but new graduates with relevant internships will also be considered.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems to document session notes and manage patient information effectively.
  • A proven track record of building rapport and establishing trust with clients from diverse cultural, social, and economic backgrounds.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate treatment plans and progress to both clients and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development in mental health counseling practices.
Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $115,000 to $130,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition, counselors are eligible for a monthly healthcare stipend, ensuring that you can maintain optimal physical and mental health. You will also enjoy complimentary access to our platformโ€™s services as a client while you remain an active counselor within our organization. A flexible schedule can be accommodated based on your personal needs, promoting a healthy work-life balance.

We offer a range of opportunities, such as workshops, mentorship programs, and leadership training, which allow counselors to progress in their careers, specialize in certain areas of mental health, or transition into supervisory roles as the organization expands.
