Summary:
The Insurance Sales Specialist position requires basic technical and personal insurance product knowledge in the daily responsibilities of performing inbound and outbound phones sales using multiple insurance carriers.   This individual will be working each day with our internal segment partners to do what’s right for our customer’s insurance needs.  Educating our customers on insurance will be key to success.  

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Sell personal insurance products to Individuals
  • Inbound and Outbound calling to prospective clients
  • Develop and maintain business relationships with internal and external referral sources.
  • Meet goals for volume of quality new business quoted and written within company guidelines.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of products, services, technology and regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of work experience that is focused on Sales and/or customer service.
  • A valid Property and Casualty Insurance license, or will be required to obtain the license within 45 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Sales Experience with proven ability to achieve sales expectations and meet high volume deadlines in a call center environment.
  • A high energy and personable "over the phone" communication style.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of customers in various sales and service stages.
  • Experience working with complex products/processes.
  • Computer experience and experience with Microsoft Suite of programs, comparative rater and carrier sites.

Compensation Range:

The compensation range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and education.  Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan.  In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
